I'm not going to be able to get through Louise's routine without remembering the Bunto Paso Face.
"troubled vole"?

I sort of get this as it happens. I an a Floydy which is a bit incompatible for a dance nut. But..... (Sofakat cover your ears) I have a burning ambition to do an Argentine Tango to Cymbaline. when I hear it I see the AT choreorgaphy in my head.

I could see a waltz to Shine On

Which dance saw the introduction of the much loved Bunto 'Tittarubba' move??

Not that I am aware of. But I knew a link of yours would be safe (ish!)

Watching the reactions of bystanders is much more entertaining than the main event on that video
I was bemused by the fact that the entire thing was shot in mirror image.
(and the fact that the first model's hip bones protruded alarmingly)

I was just thinking they must be so cold! (all the bystanders were wearing overcoats)

Whoever suggested Elton John's Tiny Dancer for Cloudier..

Either they dress her up as the clumsy adorable 5year old from the John Lewis advert.
Or else she starts off turning slowly on top of a kitsch musical jewellery box

The most egregious example I remember was the very start of this

Thanks (I think), the Tittarubba itself wasn't too bad. However, the sight of Darren Bennett in Latin Sex God mode will be with me for a while, and not in a good way 😣

Rhumba to Parisienne Walkways. Okay, not technically full Lizzy but just awesome. Saw Gary Moore play it not long after Phil died. Such emotion.
Killer on the loose for Tango?

Somehow think that if Ed comes back on ITT anytime in the next 10 years, he will be doing 'his' Beyoncé move and making the rest of the Friday panel do the Gangnam hands.
Oh, Parisienne Walkways would be fabulous, imagine them holding a pose on that loooooooong note.

I see what you mean, the music does suggest those kind of moves.

But would we want Day Varch murdering these gorgeous songs?

Back in the good old days before they were deliberately trying to make half the couples look stupid on purpose on a week by week basis we had to make our own entertainment...

Ed and AT? Umm..

My mind will not go there. Which is odd because I secretly fancy him. He has the naughtiest eyes and I think he'd be a hoot. I also much prefer dancing with substantial men when I do AT. Short and skinny is just yuck for me.

Acksherly, I wouldn't mind dancing AT with Ed if only he knew how
I reckon you could have a lot of fun teaching him!

That Baby Baby B B B Baby post has me thinking (always dangerous). Do we have enough Lizzy fans on here to devise a Thin Lizzy Week, like the Movies Week or Halloween Week, but with all Lizzy songs? (OK so it's a stretch, but I'm bored)
Tango to 'The boys are back in town' could be Brenda's idea of heaven.

Even the toupe was overacting.
POTD!

They could have the mini-Eiffel tower, the lamp posts and even Benchy

For example ....... Rhooooooomba to Still In Love With You. Paso to Emerald. Quickstep to Dear Miss Lonelyhearts. Tango to Jailbreak (may be grasping with that one). Waltz to Sweet Marie.

Not sure about a Charleston. Not big on that sort of music, were Lizzy. Unless .... Merry Jingle???
Holds hand up to being a Thin Lizzy fan

Out in the Fields when Gary Moore joined forces wih Phil Lynott is one of my all time favourite songs.

Oooooooh jumping on this band wagon, Floyd are my jam, my first love is the biggest Pink Floyd fan on the planet and we used to listen to all their stuff constantly. I can't hear Wish You Were Here without thinking of him and wanting to bawl my eyes out.

That was brilliant! To be that "bad" you have to be extremely skilled (I always think of Les Dawson playing piano.)

But oh, just think what Danny and Oti could have done with that music...

You took the words out of my mouth. They did that brilliantly. The lady in particular making those enganches etc gross and ungainly while still keeping them in time and looking like what they were taking off.

Those two are hilarious! Such a great act! I had a masterclass with them and they were brilliant. She is a superb dancer - and so is he!

Their perfomance for us later was staggeringly good.

Or as Eric Morecambe said "all the right notes, just not necessarily in the right order"

Eric does seem to come up a lot in Strictly discussions, whether it's his piano playing with Andrew Preview or those wonderful musical numbers they did. (Like Slaughter On 10th Avenue, I loved that). Maybe the show is less Come Dancing and more Morecambe & Wise?

ETA - went looking for the Slaughter clip and found this. Pans People doing Big Spender - just what we were talking about a few dozen pages back. Spooky.

I'd forgotten all about that one, thank-you Wiskas! - and Shirley's legs, wow!

Unappreciating that I clicked on a link on another thread and saw something that can't now be unseen

Is that Shirley Bassey? I know its her song but thought the performer was someone like ..oh I don't know ...Grace Jones perhaps. I had no idea that Shirley has such length of bone darling.

I always admired Eric Morcombe as a dancer. If you look past the comic mucking about he is actualy pretty good. It would have been wonderful to have had him on Strictly

No, it's not Shirley, it's Brenda Arnau (according to the notes under the clip).
