No, it's not Shirley, it's Brenda Arnau (according to the notes under the clip).
That explains how Shirley grew such long limbs temporarily.

Ernie Wise was a good dancer too, especially tap dancing!

I'm imagining the forum outrage now:

"ZOMG!! Ernie should just retire already it's not fair he's got so much experience ...."

"I always liked him before but now I can't take to him and I can't quite put my finger on why, he seems a bit fake humble to me."

Eric has actually had dance lessons. He could almost be one of the pro dancers. How can Tommy Steele compete with that!? S'not fair

I wonder if we all concentrate really hard, if there could be a music change for Loiuzzze paso on Saturday.

She could stamp her little feet so daintily and precisely to that. It would really suit her.

I'm not appreciating the way that Ed is talking like he has as good as gone this week. I fear that the trolls are getting to him a bit, likewise all this talk of being lowered from the ceiling suggests that the joke may have gone a bit too far.

I'm even less happy that, looking at an article about him on AOL news - http://www.aol.co.uk/entertainment/2...ed-by-viewers/ - there was a poll on who readers think will win Strictly. Louizzzzzze is somehow in first place! I know these things rarely mean much, but I'm actually quite scared now.

It aught to be Ed first as he has never opened the show. Ore is about due an end slot.

I suppose Ed's will be dictated by the piano lowering logistics?
Greg in second slot?

Louise and Claudia have both Pimp Slotted twice and Ed's had better performance slots overall than anybody else, so it should definitely be one of the other men closing things out. Ore or Greg's feel the most "show-stoppy" numbers to me.

I'm trying to remember if anyone's been in the dance-off with significant harness/flying prop work before. I can't imagine they want to drop a flying piano twice in one evening...

I try to tune out Russell Grant or any discussion of him so I may well be wrong, but didn't he go out on Cannon Week?

PS Just checked your own blog and I think I'm right. And if an effing great cannon isn't a significant flying prop I don't know what is!

He did, but there was no dance-off in Series 9.

Oops, cross-posted with my edit. Now your original comment makes sense - wonder if Ms Rainbow has factored in this possibility? Or can we infer that his vote is so strong she's confident they won't have to do it twice???

Both Danny and Louise are "beige" personalities.

Thank goodness for Oti!

Before we started I'd have agreed about Danny, but more and more as time goes on I'm beginning to detect there's more to him. Snarking about their AT music on ITT comes to mind, also his references to refusing to undo/remove his shirt smacks of refusing to bow to the producers' chosen narrative. I'm not totally convinced yet, but I don't think he is as beige as Louizzz.

Your final comment, however, hits the nail on the head!

Didn't Judy Murray go out on her ascending with bunch of balloons, Mary Poppins week?

Don't know if that's significant but I guess Elf and Safety would insist on some sort of safety belt, even to be raised a couple of feet off the floor
