Balls isn't going back into politics. There might be some funny moments though if his wife gets back into one of the top jobs.

Ed could be fascinating, he has that naughty gleam to his eye, but I think he hasn't finished with politics yet, this is a silly little interlude on the side, before he goes back to being a full time politician again.
Hence he can't answer any question without firing back a question or evading the original question altogether. We need a Jeremy Paxman not a Zoe Ball to have any chance of an answer thats related to any question, and then it would only be how much he dislikes heights. It's bred into British politicians, but at least he isn't a Trump tweeting how great he danced, at 3am and how great his next dance will be. Oh god why did I mention that, he is like an all encompassing cloud of doom hanging over everywhere, and all you can say is at least he isn't Trump. 😢😢 |

You have no clue as to how Trump will perform, he won and won pretty easily so he deserves his chance, it wasn't as if the alternative was too appetising.

Or he might do a Michael Portillo and become a presenter. |

Not sure about that as stated she already has one of the top jobs and I can see him standing as an MP again, I suspect this stint has only done him good.

Before it started, I'd have totally agreed that Danny is a Bot - but now there seems to be something there. He might still be a Bot but at least he seems to have the Snerk Chip activated
![]() Everyone else at least pretends to sound sincere with the stupid comments and puns they're expected to say in the VTs, but you can see Danny mentally rolling his eyes every time he has to read those lines. |

Why is little Claudia never described as beige? Whenever she speaks her words are like, so predictable and she never says anything vaguely unexpected.
Claudia is still young- she's got plenty of time to become interesting when she's lived a bit. On paper, Louise should be at least vaguely interesting. Forty something mum, footballer's wife, ex pop singer, tv presenter, well travelled ( thanks to all those cringeworthy holiday ads ), but she is still duller than the dullest thing in Dull land. |

As we have a shiny new thread....
The DOT Manifesto (2014 version) As we have a new part of the thread it's time for a reiteration of the DOT Manifesto for those who are too drunk and can't remember or are newby de-lurkers. ________________ What is a Non-App thread? Well, it's the anti-thesis of an App thread, where you can come to have moan or a laugh, shamelessly take the mick out of the show that we all love. And make up nicknames. It's somewhere where you can air little niggles and that is !!!11!!! free, where people don't deliberately misconstrue, don't use up the whole of DS's supply of capital letters and use smilies for their intended purpose. You can say all the things that would get you thrown out of an App thread. We welcome anyone with a witty comment and an attitude. Why does X pull such weird faces? What on earth has Y got on her head, and is it dead? Is Z wearing that dress for a bet, and how much did she lose? What would Bruce have done if.....? Basic T&Cs of this thread (which have no legal basis whatever) • Bring a sense of humour with you, and a bottle. • Don't come on here for a whine about another thread please You can *just* about say anything on here, just be amusing. • You don't have to be drunk - just act like it. • If you think we are all horrible, try another thread..... ....But you'll be back by the semi-final when it all goes wild out there For all the pish taking the posters in here, we actually love the show as much (if not more, truth be told) than a lot of people 'out there' We do our best not to be cliquey but admit that we can lapse into "Non-App Speak"...if you don't understand a nickname or a reference, just ask. You don't have to be a whisky drinking middle aged woman of Irish extraction with a cat or two. It just helps. PS - DOT stands for Drunken Old Tart. (Young Teetotal Ladies and Men are also welcome) It's meant to be light, interesting and very very mean. |

What a waste of keyboard energy that was, someone brought Trump up in a rather pontifical fashion there had to be a reply.
Pontificating is what we do here. |

I'll admit to having avoided the NAT thread for years, as expected it to be shingling about things FMs didn't like/enjoy (not appreciate). I'd popped in once, saw exactly that, and didn't come back.
Until last year when I got to 'know' in online terms, a few FMs who said they were regs, and to try it out! Been a regular lurker since, but don't post as I've not usually got anything amusing to add. Long may it continue, you make me giggle, lots! |
