OK, I'll be the only voice unappreciating Judge Rinder's attitude on It Takes Two tonight. If he did it with a slight smile on his face it wouldn't be so bad but he came across as cold as well as giving closed answers. Humour is great but the audience has to be in on it to enjoy it and... I wasn't tonight. It felt like he was being sincere and that made me feel uncomfortable.

Unfortunately it isn't possible to explain a joke.

The fact that so many missed it was his fault to some extent. However I love him for trying.

I will join you . If it was meant to be funny then he sure misread it . I too found it uncomfortable watching and that is down to him . All very fine trying to be funny but it doesnt work unless you can be clever enough to pull it off

Which, imo, he is. And I think that the fact that anyone finds anything uncomfortable to watch is down in equal parts to the perpetrator and the watcher. Which is in no way automatically trying to apportion blame.

The worst thing is I usually get his humour as well.

Well so be it . I always find rudeness uncomfortable and he came across rude . Not everyone is in on jokes . I for one have missed quite a few ITT this week due to ilness so have no idea of any previous reason that he came across as a sulky child

That's fair enough. I freely admit that my mind is... singular and I like it that way. That said, I know that I have felt uncomfortable watching things and that it has been as much down to my humour and proclivity as to the item I was watching. And again, I like it that way.

I guess we all have our own little proclivty heads .!! One sees humour another not . I have always said and have the theory that we like or dislike people on reality shows based on who they remind us of in real life .

I went to school with Dominican nuns who were experts in ignoring you and making you feel small ! Hence maybe my aversion !

Away from Mr. Robert, I just found myself watching Children in Need and trying to work how how the Strictly set usually fits into the studio. I think the Judges desk is placed where they have the stage and everything works around that.

Unappreciating most of the Friday panel predicting RobDOT's departure When Greg and Ed are still in the mix. Hoping Rob's amusing trolling of Gethbot is not going to lose him votes..... Loved him showing just how the endless closed questions should be answered.

You'd think asking Open Questions would be day 1 of presenter training.

You aren't the only one. I felt sorry for Gethin who tried his best to get more than one syllable answers. Hooray for Oksana!

It was telling, though, that the one woman on the panel didn't predict his departure and when the 3 men did, the studio audience booed.

I reckon for the few who did see the ITT interview it will be more a case of confirmation bias rather than a large amount of viewers changing their votes. Whether he stays in or not will depend on his dancing. (And going by the rehearsal videos, Greg looks to be the one in the most danger this week.)

He had said at his ITT interview on Thursday something along the lines of him hating being asked the same questions when the answers were obvious (this was after a Zoe rambling question Special - how did you feel being left to the end to be called safe ... you loved the dance ... everyone loved the dance ... your grandparents were there ... did you think you were in the dance off ... how did you feel about the possibility of being in the dance off ...) and, rightly or wrongly, I just took it as a continuation of that rather than him being a total mardy bum - but that's also on the table.

I think he unappreciates being patronised or treated like an idiot.

I did appreciate him on his interview on Radio 2 yesterday afternoon. He and Ed were discussing fake tan colour charts. Ed said something about the Bahamas in August. Quick as a flash, Robert came back saying 'that's hurricane season,' and the brief pause as Ed had to scramble to think of a retort. Brilliant.

Not forgetting, ITT has maybe 20% of the viewer numbers compared to the main show.

I do think it was a snark at the Gethbot's closed questions, as when one of the other ladies asked him about the Gangnam dance he gave a witty response.

Perfect description. I usually enjoy JRs humour but - if he was trying to be funny last night - it failed big time.

I appreciate that Gethin is not a natural interviewer ( and that's being polite ) but he is there to do a job and what JR did made for uncomfortable viewing.

To be fair, I don't think it was a snark at Gethin, as such, more the questions. He had been rolly eyed with Zoe the day before at the obviousness of the answers and he'd more or less been asked the same things again the day after.

Sometimes, with Strictly you get the impression that the concept and format is set in stone, The person asking the questions may change but the questions remain exactly the same ... it could be Claudia or Zoe or Gethin or any of the special backstage guest interviews asking the questions of any contestant past or present. All they do is reach into the cupboard, find the pile marked Blackpool and change the names.

The judge is wearing thin with me ... not keen on him answering Craig because it sounds so studied even if it's not. Also the dance faces ... I hate them!!

There's not much to choose between him, Ed and Greg and I'd rather keep those two.
