Thing is if the NAT starts to point at other threads and posters >>>> out there then they will come in and defend their opinions . I used to post in the NAT a lot when it was simple fun and sarky comments on the show / dresses / props etc .Once it got personal I felt it best not to join in if I am honest .
IMO if we have an issue with a thread or post or posts then by all means question them on that thread , or have a discussion out there .But it was never the trend on the NAT to unappreciate others opinions in here and snigger about it . In doing so then posters will come and defend themselves in here . Just my opinion
Unappreciating that your irony chip seems to have been removed .

I was unappreciating posters unappreciating things in such a dour and joyless way

In this thread.

You know the one I am posting in, unappreciating posts.

And then I got this reply

Which again I am unappreciating. In this thread!

Indeed. Spot on as usual.

It is the understanding of that word - IRREVERENCE - which is the ultimate DOT word really - that is in jeopardy here.

Po-faced and pontification are really not quite the same thing.

Howl for the helicopter if you need it aggs! Always on standby!
Ain't that the truth.

There'll be wine, whisky and a supply of what M&S calls Kir Royale (blackcurrant juice, white wine and cassis - and half price) chez Muggsy tonight - along with her daughter, who was born able to give masterclasses in snerking.

Sorry if I bothered you . I was simply making a point that the NAT thread was never about whinging about other threads . Doing so will only cause arguments . Sorry I am dour or joyless in my writing my point . But my point stands , not about you but in general that other threads and posts should be answered on that thread to that poster ?

I think all the difference was was the NAT suddenly become the place for pure non-appreciation for a spell and lost the humour. I'm guilty of it as much as anyone so I apologise for that.

But it's nearly blown over now.

There is no need to explain to the very people who created it what NAT is. We know. We started it, remember?

We are not interested in other posts and threads. We avoid criticising them or whining about other posters in other threads. Rules? Remember?

You left NAT before because you did not like our stance.

I wonder why you are here again? I really am puzzled

Come back James!!!

Too far?

Can I just unappreciate (this is a real whinge so sorry people) that I'm going to miss the show live tonight so will have to catch up later?
A one line whinge isn't a real whinge. It's merely a bit of a stomp.

Gosh, I'm not picky at all am I?

Can we please get back to the perving?

Otherwise I will be forced to find that photo of Brenda stark b*****k naked, and post it.

Ha! That'll sort out the DOTs from the girls!

Right . I will try again . You made a point that the thread was filled with dour posts . My point is if people on the NAT thread ( not you ) whinge in here about other threads>>>> out there it will then CAUSE dour and defensive replies from those who feel whinged about . So my point is that if someone has an issue about a thread then bring it to the thread in question

Equally it would cause ill feeling and a need to reply if posters on another thread where whinging about posts on the NAT thread . So it works in reverse too .
None of my reply was in anyway a dig at you , it was me trying to explain how dourness creeps in
Hope that makes sense

Those of us who originated this thread know that. Well, of course we do, we started it.

It worked, but its popularity irked people in the beginning. We had a lot of criticism. Whatever. It survived for years despite us being seen as the Bad Girls. We weren't - as many have since found out.

Sadly of late, the very fact that you can say what you think in here and laugh out loud, has been tarnished by those who have chosen to misunderstand what we are about. NAT is about humour and not spite. It's about teasing but not prejudice. It is not about preaching or politics.

Not everyone here gets that.

And that is the problem.

Silver lining - you can fast forward Tess and all the Blackpuel dross whilst the rest of us manfully bear it on your behalf.

Not at all. I am perfectly happy to stomp instead! Especially as I'll probably be freezing when I get back later too.

You find me a photo (no, not that one) and I'll perv over it.

Post that one and I'll projectile vomit all over the thread and I suspect I won't be the only one. The regulars will not be happy when the staff are too busy cleaning up sick to attend to their show needs.

I won't care. I'm going out. Be prepared for possible drunken ramblings later. I promise to try and make them as irreverent as possible.

Go for it, I fancy having something to point and laugh at, though really it being Brenda it may be a very small target.

Sofs . It was creeping back in that there were posts about other threads . I was not lecturing I was only trying to maybe explain why it seemed to be dour
But however it's probably not a good idea so thats fine

There is that. But there is something about following a live show live; witnessing events happening whilst the rest of the country does. Rather than only seeing the Balls Jive whilst the rest of the country is preparing to moan about the public vote.

I was blissfully unaware of its existence until now. I'm very good at sticking my fingers in my ears and tuneless caterwauling. La la la. *hands out cottonwool*

No not at all

It crept in because people in general appear to have forgotten what is funny, witty, clever

And or in some cases logical.g

Right off to work, have fun those of you capable of it.

I understand what you're saying, and it's a valid point.

I do think the mood 'out there' can affect the mood in here which is when a double dose of irreverence is needed.

And staff.
In uniform.
Or part uniform.
And alchifrol (either real or imaginary )

I don't think TTF could snerk if his hair depended on it.
His hair, on the other hand, can be mean 🦁
I was examining his hairline on ITT (it was so boring ... I only tuned in to see what all the pearlclutching Rinder outrage was about, total anticlimax there) and it's awfully unconvincing for a man - usual male hairline is M-shaped

Noticed that and thought mmm that comb over or whatever he has going on there, is becoming as complicated as the Orange One's convoluted barnet.

Thank aggs for at least listening .
If we need irreverence how about a good dose of " Zoes how much do you questions

" how much do the DOTs love a good swishy flounce "

I unappreciate that we haven't seen a proper one since Matt Di A sat on the steps in a sulk
Would love a good dropping the pro on her head or tripping over the oversized bucket and spade prop
