Voted for Chris Hollins here🙋
still like team Cola I thought they were a really enjoyable partnership.

Have never been afraid to admit it on here.

I love Anton, not ashamed of it and couldn't stand Jay I hid in here last year from all the Anita/Gleb talk as it was less scary in here. I don't mind the teasing and just refrained from talking about Jay at all, love it here :P

I didn't get the Anita/Gleb fandom either. Her feet always irritated me.

Get out!

Only joking

I totally get what you mean about Anita and Gleb though, I don't think she ever got her feet sorted out and while many of the routines were dramatic (I did love the Maleficent one), they were sadly lacking in a lot of dance content (he was always a bit Artem-y in that he did as little as was required and a lot of "extra wafty bits" out of hold).

I suspect had Gleb not looked like Gleb (not that he did anything for me on that front either!) there wouldn't have been so much vocalisation.

Anita is one of the most overrated contestants in strictly. Her dancing did not improve much but the routines were so OTT that hid a multitude of sins. She may have been a better dancing with another pro, but I doubt she would have had the same impact with a more traditional pro.

And as much as I was (am) a huge Jaliona fan, Jay's dancing was/is overrated too. His Latin is probably the best by a male, but his ballroom was average at best.
(But still, they are one of my favourites partnerships ever. if not the top.)

I will also admit that I was a Smug Vicar and a Abbey fan. Don't throw me out!

I have to say, I have never ever gone off a celebrity because of their feet. Anita, Ricky Whittle, Harry, anybody else who was supposedly "sickle-footed" or "pigeon toed" or whatever. Never noticed, never cared. Ugly hands on the other hand, drive me ****ing bananas. Such a Craig...

One of the problems with Anita was they would keep putting her feet in coloured shoes which just highlighted them.

Hands and feet here, 😳

Sticky up thumbs not so much but spatula hands..... Shudders

Anita rarely pointed her toes which spoilt what might have been great dances. This is different from sickle feet or pigeon toes. Both of those can be corrected in time but they don't have enough time.

Feet drive me bonkers and I think it's mostly to do with years spent doing ballet and tap and then contemporary where, in the first two disciplines, getting the feet right was paramount and then in the last one, no-one cared!

I have such dilemmas about feet but unless someone's hand is really out of place or they're doing the great shovel impersonation, I can ignore them in the main. Heads out of whack also draw my attention but if the cleb is enjoying themselves, that goes a long way for me deciding to not give a stuff.

I admired Anita's athleticism and sheer determination, but thought all the retweeting of fan messages on how she wuz robbed, after she had been eliminated against Katie was a touch ungracious and deluded.

Not quite cricket, old chap.

I laughed when he commented on his (former?) wish to be 'The bad boy of ballroom' - perhaps soon he could just add a letter L into that sentence and let nature take its course for his wish to come true

She has no dress sense at all. I was thinking the same. Hideous taste and so unflattering on a short woman with heavy legs and no waist.

Why does she lead the clapping for herself and demand more cheers? Why has she started to demand to do a demo before it's even required? Why has she lost the plot? Does she think she is a star of some kind? Que?

Get her off my TV!

I do too. Spent many years training mine - enduring pointe work, reps at the bar (sodding frappes), dealing with weak right ankle and busted toes, and now it's knee cartilage problems and I am still doing ochos and pivots and soldiering on. My feet are good but I bloody worked at it.

I hate bad feet and sticky out bums unless you are just not a dancer and no one taught you as a kid. Just don't ask me to dance with you

Did she do that? How crass! She did not improve and her feet stayed terrible. How could she win ffs!

I do that too. It makes for a very complaint and rock solidly supportive partner. And to be fair my door frame is more animated and stylish than some other leads I have danced with.

I did rather appreciate Kevin and Zoe and their entire discussion about how Louise has regained her confidence and got her sexeh back, while Louise just smiled at Kevin like he's a second favourite nephew in a Christmas jumper.

I do appreciate it when they keep trying to re-ignite a dead storyline arc that last twitched at week 2, or in th case of Rob just keep switching between Komedy Kapers and Never Danced Before

I couldn't stand Gleb and I'm really glad he didn't come back. I went to the tour (and what a tawdry, tacky, tired affair that was), but fortunately we went to the performance where Mel was missing and Anita compered in her place so at least I was spared some idiocy about his supposed irrisistibleness. They did favour us with their paso, though - and the backing dancer on his right had much better pecs than him!

On the subject of Anton, he's gone up a lot in my estimation. I saw him and Erin on tour this year (my daughter bought tickets while I thought "Great! I suffered the tour and now I've got to put up with Anton".) I really enjoyed it, though. No pockets sticking out, bad wigs or safety pins for them. And Anton genuinely made me laugh - A LOT. He can deliver his spiel as though it's completely fresh and come up with clever and witty ad libs.

I never got the Gleb love. He always seemed a bit too in love with himself. If I'd thought he was gorgeous that would have induced permanent female brewer's droop, so to speak.... as it was, it was simply mystifying, or perhaps I just missed his incredibly deeply hidden sense of irony (answers on a postcard please).

Anton has grown on me since the Judy Murray sitcom year. A tightly buttoned shirt neck is a must, as too many deep Vs and the appearance of the chest thatch induces gagging... but, appreciated his run with Lesley and genuine enjoyment of her, almost as much as her exit interview candour on thwarting the old lady stereotype.

I took to Gleb more on Celebrity Masterchef than I ever did on Strictly. He came across much better when he had to keep his top on for Elf and Safety reasons ...
