Yes, I didn't mean any more than I said. Just that they really made the lifts work as a spectacle (even if they did mean that Cloudier spent about half the routine in the air). I did not mean that I thought that made it a good AT (I suspect some will say "what AT?" but this is the one discipline where I just don't even dare make a stab at forming my own assessment. Just too iggerant!).

She played it to her strengths and why shouldn't she. May not please the purists but it looked great to me.

Apparently not. *shrugs*

But to be fair to AJ since he was a little boy he will have watched Brendan carrying his dance partners, artistically around the dance floor. So you can't blame the lad for thinking that is how it is done.

Please don't. I'm still trying to make sense of the bicycle-based tango.

And that is absolutely fine. Ther was a dance a couple of weeks ago in one of my disciplines which I enjoyed as a piece of dancing even though it bore no relationship to what it was supposed to be. Same goes for AJ and Cloudier tonight. It was a very enjoyable dance even if it contained little or no AT content.

I'll be ok with a Rinder Ed dance off TBH. The survivor might pick up the others votes and break up the sure to be tedious final

I've honestly watched ten times already. I never do that, but it is just so good. This where I start stanning for them big time. It's a Goddess of Dahnce year but the Goddess is Oti. <3

Well, I do prefer them to be doing the dance they're supposed to be doing. I don't know why I find proper/good AT so hard to distinguish. I don't have a problem with the other dances - it's just a blind spot for me.

BTW, I didn't mean to insult any other AT specialists on the thread by referring only to sofakat. She's just the only one I know. I'm sure there are others on here who are knowledgeable about the dance.

Well that was a right dog's dinner. Danny & Oti streets ahead of everyone else. Louizzzze dressed as Margo Leadbetter and dancing like her too. Didn't appear to be much waltz content. Ore ... what? The ping-pong table stole the show there. Worried for Judgepet. Balls - just go. And Cloudier & AJ - what was that? A loving homage to Bacofoil, the bit where Brenda was trying to shove an oven-ready turkey into a too small oven?

As for that chacha debacle, what were the judges playing at, giving top marks to Louizzzze? What for? The ability to move round a dancefloor whilst writing shoppjng lists in her head?

Drink.

You didn't. Sofa has more experience and takes AT much more seriously than I do. Its her first love I think, only my second. I prefer salsa by a country mile (although not the poo they serve up on SCD in the name of salsa) We generally agree but not always. But I will always respect her opinion and will go back and look if her opinion differs to mine. I don't necessarily change my mind but will try to see what she saw that I didn't. Buit at the end of the day dance is subjjective.

Perhaps they mistook AT to mean Aerial Tango...I agree too much time in the air but having said that, I did enjoy them, they did them well ...just too many..

I think you do Louizzzzzz a disservice. She was clearly looking for a lost earring as well.

I don't knw enough about waltz to judge but I did think the way Louise used her feet was exquisit. She closed her steps and placed her feet beautifully. Whether that makes for good waltzing I couldn't say, but I thought it they looked lovely

I enjoyed the dance but it didn't have enough basic AT to demonstrate having accomplished the style in my opinion.

But then I know nothing about waltz but was enchanted by the way Louise used her feet. I don't know if it was right for waltz or not but it impressed me.

It was pure Waltz content which Louise danced technically very well, all recognisable Waltz groups. You noticed her feet, which is great...super footwork for ballroom, tracking feet in places.Loved it.

With the AT, of which I don't know very much, even with my limited knowledge I could see that it wasn't a proper AT, bit more of a show type dance. However I expect they tried to play to her strengths.

I thought she was checking that the floor had been properly cleaned.

Agreed and they would be daft not to. The more lifts there are the more the public like it alas. So put in lots and to be fair she is athletic enough to hold some fabulous shapes.

Just watched, wow to DOTI and I loved them both laughing and being emotional at the comments and scores
Loizzze again with the bagg you dress and head down, I can see it wasn't bad but it certainly wasn't. Dance for the ages

Ore and Jwanne making shapes !

JR I thought for a bloke rumba it was ok

Ed not fabulous he can go now, I wanted him to be fabulous 😕

Well I don't think it was an AT very aerial but I quite liked it I just don't know wha it was. 😕

Thats good. I would say that when a dance doesn't look good, so many on here blame the Pros for "bad choreography" when its nothing of the sort. Its because the celeb has not mastered the technique to dance it well. See 2 Pro's dance the very same routine and you would not recognise it. Louise has been very well taught by Kevin and she is technically very good.
