Just playing catch up as I was out last night. Goodness, how interesting.
Enjoyed a fast latin for the first time this series! I don't like any of salsa, samba or cha cha much but Doti did a conversion job. Final please.
Paso actually worked. More chemistry between Ore and Joanne as well. Despite hating the music, the concept and Jo's dress in theory, in practice it all worked. He's not Danny levels of good, but he's easily the second best man and in the right dance there (might) not be a vast amount in it. Final please.
Louise's waltz left me indifferent. I could admire, but not adore and at this point, I want to adore. She does look like she's trying, but it really isn't coming across to me as a performance. I know she says she's loving every second, but I am not seeing it, which is a shame.
Rindy's rumba was better than I thought it might be, and it was interesting to see how much his technique has improved. I can't see him going much further with the very clear water between him, Ed and the rest, but I'm glad he managed to shake the Komedy Kontestant label off.
Ed seems to have run out of steam in this one. Katya can only do so much and at some point his lack of stamina is going to be a big barrier. Time to go methinks, but who knows what the public will say.
Cloudier's AT ... I'm in two minds about. For me it was one of her best dances, but there doesn't seem to be a huge connection between her and AJ. This seems to me to be more to do with Cloudier being quite a mature 19 year old and AJ being quite an immature 22 year old. Liked it very much, and in parts was a definite breakout, but not all the way. Yes, I do think she was undermarked, and at the moment I'd take her over Louise as a finalist. I think she's got more to offer and Louise really hasn't. Edited to add - was that remotely an AT?
Cha cha whatnot can take a jump into a muddy river and stay there.
Apologies for the essay.
