Rob Rinder is Komedy.
No, he's a NDB.
No, he's Komedy.
Ed is a NDB
No, he's Komedy ... no, that's Rob ... let's make Rob a NDB then
No, that's Greg - he's a NDB sportsman.
What about Ore?
He's a NDB ... oh heck.
What about the other woman?
Don't worry about them, they're all injured and dropping like flies.”

Ah thank you aggs, you've found my Monday morning scd debrief notebook, been looking for it everywhere, thanks from Mrs Rainbow's PA

So, Twimsy gets Doris Day this week

Rinder gets his third Latin on the trot this week leaving him to do 2 ballroom dances in the semi-finals if he's there, whilst Louise still hasn't done Salsa or Samba, so will presumably dance one alongside a nice ballroom number and skip the other entirely... sometimes the conspiracy theories write themselves!

The conspiracy theory where everyone gets to skip a dance and Judge Rinder's almost entirely latin-experienced pro has chosen to skip a ballroom one?

Everything about it was wrong. It was like it was a dance ear marked for another celeb shuffled across to them last minute.

I have wondered, if in the storyboard of the mind of TPTB they wanted a Mr&Mrs battle -not having learnt anything from the one they tried to engineer for the Jordan/Logan year - and were aiming to pit Kevin and Louise against Will and Karen?

The storylining this year has been odd - nothing seems to last longer than 2 weeks

Here's a crazy idea for the producers... just let things run their course naturally and see what happens. You know, if the public take to someone unexpected and don't give a stuff about a "contender", why not just let it pan out? I genuinely think we'd have a better show!

I thought they were all supposed to do 1 Ballroom & 1 Latin in the semi-final though... yet Rinder is using his last Latin on Saturday. Anyone would think someone knew he would be leaving so thought they may as well use it?

Georgia was down to do AT and V.Waltz last year until she got the sniffles/plague and was too ill to meet the guest choreographers. They change what they class AT as to suit really.

I have to start wondering how much power the professionals have now to be honest - can they choose the dance to skip and, if so, how early on can they choose it? Isn't deciding the dancer order for each couple early on just opening up the show of Ballroom or Latin overkill later on if the results don't go exactly as expected or is it actually micro-managed to the same degree as the programme on The Other Side? If the Pros can choose the dance order and the one to skip then they must feel slightly put out that they can't also choose the music considering the very unsuitable numbers which creep through on regular occasions!

Robin said in his SCANDALOUS video thingy that disappeared that they got to pick what to skip. You can see patterns as well - as well as the notorious samba dodgers, Pasha has always skipped one of the waltzes because he's crap at ballroom/more of a latin guy.

Interesting, thanks. I presume they don't get to choose the order they dance them in though - Natalie criticised her and Greg's dance order earlier, saying there was no natural progression from one week to the next and he had to start from scratch each time rather than working off the base from the previous week.

Yes I noticed that immediately after that they gave her cha cha to rumba, one of the most obvious and easy transitions, and then gave her emo-rock to dance it to. Such trolls.

Rumba to Viennese Waltz to Paso Doble to Quickstep was slightly more difficult though!

I'm sure Artem would have had a damn good try at making them all look the same in his day.

Spoilsport

Interesting results so far in the 'who do you least want to win' poll. Cloudier has got the lowest number of votes. It would be quite a laugh to see the effects of a Cloudier/AJ win. I think AJ's face would literally split in two with the grinning, Cloudier would be speaking in a voice so high and squeaky that only dogs could hear, Rinder would be in tears for her, and Danny would be hugging the pair of them so tight they would go blue in the face. I could live with a Cloudier win.

I could deal with Cloudia winning - AJ's inanely grinning vents dummy face getting the win on his first go when so many pros who could choreograph latin and read out loud have never made it over the years, less so...

She's got to get there first - and pesky dance off in pesky quarter final and even peskier dance off in pesky semi final make it peskilly unlikely.

Gosh, I hate the dance off even more when we're a couple down.

Honestly, I think you could make a case of any of the remaining celebs to win. None would be a cardi clutching travesty and it would make for a far better tempered end given the rumblings already and remembering the somewhat ... tetchy ... starting point.

Even better they'll probably have to find a partner for him next year if they win whereas, if he fails to do so, they may just be able to push him into a spare role.

Who will they Disneyfy next year???

Maybe they could get Jimmy Clitheroe out of retirement. Or failing that, Angus Young.

Nnnnoooooo

As they're dancing to Deadwood Stage, I was hoping he was going to be Rattlesnake (may have spent too many childhood Sunday afternoons watching musicals ) and Ward Robe have a good supply of carpet tiles
