Ps, I really don't want to see TTF as Bernardo either -that's not right! Gorka would do! Or going by the training clip is it going to be Giovanni?! From what I could see! Bit of a height difference maybe?

Hello, just popping in after a long time (I'm bringing gin, is that welcome? And snacks).
Just wanted to quote this from yesterday, if late-(sorry)- yes I agree Tejas - it is sadly very transparent that they want Rinder out this week- everything seems planned towards that, and loads of people on the MF seem to think it's a foregone conclusion . But it doesn't have to be, right? If enough people vote for him he'll be safe! I really don't want him to go - he and Oksana are my favourites this year & all the fun will go out if they go (IMo). I'd like to unappreciate the obviously orchestrated attempts to get him out! And that the judges didn't 'get' the story of their rumba.
I'll pop up to the app thread soon.
Please pray for RobDOT, as you say (and please vote for him, -if you like)
Sorry late quoting this and you've moved on! (To Gorka )
Have a good Saturday!
I used to post here a bit but you may not remember...
Its never too late to spread the Judge love!

Him & Oksana are just wonderful IMO, so I will certainly be voting for them tonight, in the vain hope that we can upset the applecart. Its particularly depressing as I do like Judge Rinder, Claudia & Ore yet feel it is written in the script that only one of them can be allowed into the final. I do like Danny too although wouldn't consider myself a fan, but Twimsy can do one... Danny and any 2 of Ore/Claudia/Rinder would suit me brilliantly for the final.

Ah, George ❤️❤️❤️❤️
My parents saw him in the stage show in the '50's.
I'm not sure mum ever recovered

Is this the second time Romeo and Juliette has been 'the story of' the group dance?
I saw him performing as Rochester in Jane Eyre in the 1990s, all my teenage crush illusions were sadly shattered

He was never the same after he got strapped to a table, electrocuted and buried in rubble, in 633 Squadron.
That's when I developed my crush on him! Then I watched West Side Story, but I fell in love with George when he was a dashing "Norwegian" former Naval ace helping the RAF the theme music was fabulous!

No sensible person ever does. Think of the grimmest place you know, then add rain and fish.
Wonderful.

The title of the new tourist guide to Grimsby:

Rain, fish and Cliftons.

I very much unappreciate the barsteward who came in the night and sandpapered the back of my throat. I have spent the day feeling like I am periodically trying to swallow razor blades.

I presume you George fans already know about him being one of Rosemary Clooney's backing dancers in White Christmas? So so gorgeous.

Yep that's my all time favourite Christmas film, I have it on DVD and watch it every year! He's also in Marilyn's Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend routine

He's such an elegant classy dancer. You'd never catch him humping the floor or flailing about the room like a kid who's had too many E-numbers. *sigh* They just don't make dancers like they used to.

Didn't he also kiss David Cassidy's mum in The Partridge Family?

"Hump the Floor" - that's the show that the producers are extracting next year's clutch of pro dancers from, yes?

More than likely!

I was watching the DVD of Flavia and Vincent's Midnight Tango the other night - and I realised how much I miss them in Strictly, even with Vincent's tongue in cheek I'm-so-wonderful schtick which got a bit wearing after a while. And I miss Ian Waite. And Erin. The current crop of pro dancers just don't seem to have the same elegance, style and charisma that some of the earlier ones had - except maybe for Nat and Oti. Or maybe I'm just getting old and jaded...

Me too! He looked lovely in his uniform, and I don't go for men in uniform. Lovely dimple in his chin

Oh no! Do you have a Superdrug near you? Their Dual Action blackcurrant throat lozenges are wonderfully soothing.

More than likely!

Probably just my old biddie bias but it seems to me as a total non-dancer that the newer crop of dancers are more from the stage school 'street' type of dancing, and the likes of Erin, Ian W, Matthew Cutler, Nat and even Brenda, are 'proper' dancers. They seem to do the proper dances, not a few steps from the proper dances with a lot of faffing included to pad it out.

I just cannot understand why, of all people, Kevin keeps being cast as the swoonsome, romantic hero in the pro dances when he is neither swoonsome nor heroic. And who wants to get romantic with an over exuberant toddler in a hair hat?
If he isn't shagging all of the judges, then he must have some extremely incriminating photographs of the producers doing unspeakable things to themselves and each other.

It's going to take a miracle, but if we all vote for Rindy ...

Evening all! Sorry I've been busy for the last few weeks, have we decided who want to win yet? Not sure if I want to throw my hat behind any of them.

I miss Erin too. What a lovely woman she is and what a breath of fresh air she was on ITT the other day/week.

Sadly, she has now moved to Erin island, never to be bothered again (mainly because she got married to an actual billionaire, darling!).

He's certainly making some kind of sound, singing is debatable though. Where's my gin?
