He's a lovely man.
I confound myself by liking him so much ... that crashing noise is the sound of my pre-season pre conceptions hitting the floor. Plus, he inherently knows how ridiculous it all is and his tongue is firmly in his cheek. He seems genuinely surprised when he gets a 10, whereas other celebs seem to sort of expect it. |

I watched JR with tears in my eyes, he knew he was off and partied for the gods. That was glorious 😀

Awwwww, he'll be missed. I'm glad he stopped looking at Oksana as if she was about to explode, they developed a great partnership

Judge Rinder getting kissed TWICE off Danny. Some women would give their left leg for that luxury!

Same. I thought "Oh, he's going to be your typical Essex lad - all mouth, no trousers" but he's bloody fantastic and seems a genuinely lovely human being. And I think he's intelligent and witty and seems to have some genuine chemistry with Oti.

Me too Aggs I would have put him through just for the joy of that dance
Did anyone see the face on Louise at the end of Ore's dance off? She was leaning on the edge of the Clauditorium with absolutely no expression, not clapping, looking into the distance in the opposite direction to everyone else. She looked like her cat had just died. |

I think it's so he can prove to Queen Oti he can do them! I would genuinely fear for my life if Oti was my partner and I couldn't do something!
![]() And his courage, during what he knows could be the last weeks of his life are another reason to like him. |

She was wondering "How many more weeks have I got to put up with this prat for?" |

Yup, all preconceptions about him completely wrong, not a hint of BOT about him, funny, charming, hard working with a sly sense of humour, what's not to like, plus his dancing with Oti so joyful and fun to watch.

I was a fan of Danny in the earlier weeks but I am using this thread to just say he's getting on my nerves now. Every week he says on ITT about things might not go right or he's struggling with it. I know he practices a LOT which in itself seems rather desperate but every night apart from the blip on Halloween he has come out and given a barnstorming performance. He's just too good. Tonight was like a preview for Danny's show. I'd rather have anyone else win now (I still love Oti though). Apologies to Danny fans but I needed to get that off my chest.
Quote:
Exactly the opposite for me , not keen initially and I am appreciating the really hard work he is putting in to get things right, as we all saw dancing at such a high level things can and do go wrong, that band thing between him and Oti went disasterously, I don't think any other dancer in this series has had things go so wrong, of course that is going to make him nervous.
I am unappreciating everyone saying he doesn't deserve to win because he was so good from the start ok, but as long as that holds true for Loiuse too. Also some people saying they only want a series with the growers like Greg or JR I have no problem with them but I do like the variety and appreciate the really lovely dances we get from the Dannis of this world too. I wouldn't have minded an Ed win or JR, or Greg, or Naga, or almost anyone really. At present no Louise because she really isn't putting her all behind it and someone who is just enjoying it and sort of there doesn't deserve a win. Ditto Claudia because it isn't and hasn't ever been SCD lifting and I feel she is spending more time in the air than on the floor. Personally Ore puts my teeth on edge but meh I could survive his win. . For starters, where do you draw the line? I remember Chelsee had done some street dance. "Oh, but it's training to move to music" - but not exactly relevant. You need the mix.As for the rest of your post - yes. I want some joy behind the win. Everyone provides that except Louise. Even Ore, who I don't particular like, can sometimes give me that. Claudia a bit too, but too many lifts as of late. Quote:
I agree with you. Heck, even the dancing wardrobe looked like he was enjoying himself (hey - that's the first positive comment I've made about him in over ten years - CALL MY THERAPIST!). Just a shame that I wasn't, ever (aaaand we're back).
Harking back to last year, for all the claptrap spouted about Jay needing to emote and not projecting his performance, for me, a clear love of what he was doing shone through. Never did I feel that he was going through the motions and just performing technically as I do with Louise. It was often understated, yes, but the sheer enjoyment of the dance was still evident. In fact, thinking of last year makes me want to unappreciate that last night's meh fest has made me nostalgic for Kellie's barroom brawl VW, Georgia's dancing teapots and Helen's crowd scene paso complete with 2 million extras. This is not something I was expecting to happen. Quote:

Katya owned that pro dance. I was disappointed when the others joined in. Quote:
Aljaz and Natalie should dance together every week (although, preferably without EP warbling in the background)
Well, that was one of the least predictable bottom 2 and exits ever. Poor Rob, he knew exactly what was going on and just wanted them to hurry up. I rather liked him - I know some may have found his earnestness grating, but he stayed on the right side for me. Not the best dancer, but other than his rumba, I got his enjoyment. |

Up to this week quite honestly I quite wanted Kevin to win so he could just get a duffer
Now as my only one I actually look forward to seeing dance I really want Danni to win. It's for all the ones who have gone from Naga through Greg , Ed and now Rob who I think would have made a better final. I know a lot of you like Cloudier but she is doing nothing for me. Also she bloody liftastic |

I would literally rather John Sergeant come back and win it over any of the Cliftons. A part of me wants him to come 2nd for a 4th year running just because it will infuriate him.
The only solace I get is that if Will had stayed in, we could've potentially had THREE Cliftons in the final (shudder) |

RobDOT has known all week he was a dead man dancing. It must be draining to put the hours in and be enthusiastic when you know it doesn't matter at all. Fair play to him for actually giving it the best go he possibly could. |

Fair play to him for actually giving it the best go he possibly could. Gone but never forgotten. At least Jaypet won last year (although I think most of it was purely due to OurLeona just refusing to lose, even if the BBC said they had to go home - she'd have just turned up for training as usual and nobody would have said anything.) |
