Do you have one for Ore? The crying doesn't bother me at all really but the lip and knuckle biting "awww shucks" routine is definitely unappreciated. It always makes me think of a young girl swinging her party frock as someone tells her how pretty she is.

I don't dislike him but in my head I automatically add "sponsored by Kleenex" whenever anyone mentions his name. In the same way I have to say "Manrara" in a Scooby-Do voice whenever Janette is mentioned.

My main problem with Ore is even if he is being sincere , he over does the sincerity to the point of it looking insincere and disingenuous, his expressions come across as fake to me, the look on his face when told he is through is very theatrical , he reminds me of Peter Andre when he starts to overdo the sincerity.

Me too, re Janette. Find it completely impossible to say or hear her name without adding a Scooby 'Manrara!'

There are lots of others threads apart from this one, so not sure what you mean by The Other Thread.
We try our best - but sometimes fail- not to discuss Out There when we are In Here.

If you have an issue with any other threads, it's best to discuss your objections on the relevant thread.
This thread has had its collective knuckles rapped in the past by the Mods for being "rude" about other posters.

True.

That said, any opinion is fine in here as long as

a) It's done with a bit of a smile and preferably a touch of wit
b) If it is pure whinge, you're best to hold your hands up and acknowledge it as such.
c) You're prepared for that opinion to be held up to ridicule should it be deemed necessary. We will point and laugh and shout rude names if anyone should confess a sneaking passion for Kevin for example. But you're perfectly at liberty to hold such a view. And announce it loud and proud. As long as you're ready for the backlash .

p.s. Mild mockery of the Trevi Fountain is pretty much de rigeur though.

We used to be quite creative with nicknames but I think LackofCompassion fatigue is setting in.

And you can't quite get away with saying anything in here.
Anything less than total adoration of Danny and Oti is met with stony silence and polite ignoring

Oh heavens. Yes, he does. That's it.
And I like Ore doing his day job. It's just StrictlyOre that makes me want to hurl cushions at the tele

He did a decent job on This Morning standing in for Pip, i don't dislike him either , as you say, it must be just his Strictly persona that annoys me

Then we just wire her up to the mains.

I'm going to get some spark from her somehow!

Actually thought she was finally giving it some welly on Saturday & then I noticed the fear in her eyes.

I just don't think anyone has been annoying or downright nasty enough to warrant a nickname for the ages.

When you think of all the really inventive names we used to call THAT woman, from BOD( bosom of doom) she who must not be named etc, no one has reached her level of objectionable ness.

Now Ed being a fellow politician, though of a completely different party, could have been a great boost to our inventiveness except he turned out to be funny and really quite sweet.

How on earth does Darcey, the prima ballerina, manage to look awkward and completely without rhythm whenever she moves? Its a conundrum ”

One I am dumbfounded by every week. Hic. Lambrini anyone??

I really want to like Neil, he's married to the fabulous Katya so he must have some redeeming features, and I haven't minded his ITT appearances that I've seen, but the mugging in the Claud pit and the dancing that makes TTF look the master of restraint and understatement makes me feel all stabby

I was excited when he was announced for this year. how- evah, I cannot abide him in Strictly mode. The pontificating (god I love that word) , the constant emoting about his newfound BFFs (sure everyone treads the line on this) which he takes to a whole new level. The peering from under lashes while receiving jooges' comments. It's the amped up sincerity I can't stomach. That, and he is probably TBF a victim of the production narrative of being portrayed as Danny's challenger, which has failed totally to take into account how sh**E some of his dances have been.

Did I mention the pontificating???

My people! I thought it was just me who likes Ore in everything that isn't Strictly.

I was looking forward to him being on the show and assumed I'd be supporting him this year but just found him to be a bit Hamela with the emoting and prayer hands style approach to the show.

On the other hand didn't have a clue who Danny was, assumed he'd be a Mark Wright, and instead he turned out to dance really well and not be annoying. The "not annoying" pretty much guaranteed him a vote really

Not sure it's Danny that's got the total adoration status, it's Mistress Oti. People are coming round to Danny but I wouldn't say he's anywhere close to being a Dannypet.
