The benefit woild be in the PR thing. Sibling rivalry, drum up interest in the show, promoting the Final as an Old West or Civil War type showdown, pitting brother against brother and all that.

If they get into the final, can you imagine what the show dance would be like? Margot Leadbetter dances around the kitchen because she got lots of bubbles from her Fairy liquid?
