Thanks! Nice to hear the opinion of a dancer (I think you are/were?) My non-dancer reaction to the AS was similar: fine for SCD, but a so-so Gene Kelly pastiche nevertheless, not to mention the Glebtastic elements.

Can I just butt into the thread to unappreciate Bruno giving his vote, to the couple who showed or had a more emotional connection, etc when only one couple had an emotional song to dance to. Doesn't seem quite cricket

I thought none of them came up with a convincing reason for choosing Danny over Claudia. I reckon based on that dance alone it could've gone either way or even to Claudia (or did the ballroom experts detect something wrong with Claudia's technique?)

i actually think claudia was better in the dance off as i felt i'd seen what danny had to offer, whereas the quality of claudia's qs was genuinely delightful and had much more depth.
i think they put through the better dancer overall, which is the right things to do, and would be non controversial if it wasn't for all the fuss stirred up when the judges put peter andre through against 5 time dance off disaster jamelia and the board reacted like they'd just shot bambi's mother...all over again...

Oh, I agree. But since they are now always told to base it on the dance off only and to give a reason, it's slightly awkward when they can't give a reason as was the case here or where the reason isn't really applicable as the OP mentioned.

To be fair, Ore's just said he's not a "trained dancer". It's Tess, Claudia, Len and Zoe who seem to have extrapolated from this to 'You've never danced before'; 'You didn't even dance at your own wedding'; 'Good grief, you're remarkable for somebody who's only just learned to walk'.
I just want to unappreciate this series. This series has absolutely sucked. Everything has been manipulated by the producers from the song choices to dance orders and judges scores.
I hate the three finalists. I won't be watching the final or the christmas special. I don't know If I will even bother watching it next year. This has been the worst series ever.

Not wild about the two Gurners in the final but, to be honest, I was not a Cloudier fan.
AJ leaves me cold and I expected too much of her. In the end I didn't enjoy watching her acrobatic dancing, but last night she was better than Mimsy. The rumba was vile but the QS was good.
So we are stuck with Grim Grimsby x 2 plus a Bored Housewife on Gin and Tiny Tears the Camera W****
At least we have Danny and Oti to dilute the sludge.
