if the beeb / judges (church / state / <insert PTB of your choice>) were truly angling for a clifton win, then surely they would have voted danny out on saturday/sunday.
it wouldn't have been hard to do since claudia clearly danced better in the dance off than danny and should have gone through anyway. i mean fancy putting all that effort into manipulating the scoreboard / sheeples then missing an obvious trick like that. ![]() |

Yep, agreed! Those are some balletically trained feet, and a joy to watch. Say what you want about her performance values, but her footwork is (nearly always) on point.

Louise has by far the best feet this year, beautifully shaped and placed.

It was pointed out on here that Alesha's footwork wasn't all that - and no, I hadn't noticed before. What Alesha had was a tremendous ability to sell a dance and draw the audience in. That's always going to win me over more than excellent footwork coupled with a sterile performance. In fact, I find it very difficult to watch Louise (and Rachel Stevens before her) because my attention wanders and I suddenly realise they're up in the Clauditorium getting their scores and my mind was elsewhere.
![]() Early on, Ed was asked if his children were embarrassed by his performances on Strictly, and he replied that that's what dads are for. He threw himself into each and every performance, giving it all he'd got and hang the consequences. I predict that Ed Balls on Strictly will be a talking point long after everybody's forgotten that Louise ever took part, whatever the outcome next Saturday. If only we could go back in time and somehow get Ed or Judge Rinder - or both - into the final, what an entertaining and enjoyable show we would have had! |

Of course, as others have said, Claudia isn't going on the tour and seemed like she could win it. Would you want to have the winner not going on tour? Danny's on the tour and so is Louise and Ore. If Claudia had got to the final, she'd have won it with a spectacular showdance like Louis Smith did.

so claudia was the big threat to the clifton win conspiracy set up you were talking about, not danny after all? claudia who'd already been in the dance off and had never topped the leader board? this is all so much more FUBAR'd than i ever imagined.

I can see that if Cloudier made it to the final, she would do quite well.
She's the celeb with the public opinion momentum - potentially second on public vote at the weekend - and the strong possibility of a gymnastic, spectacular lifttasitc show dance. i know shes not there, but don't dismiss her chanes if she had been (if thats not too bonkers ![]() )

I think on pure skill Danny should be the threat but Claudia actually had big public support and we all know her showdance would've been a gymnastics showcase like Louis Smith's was.
Again, she clearly didn't have the support, or she'd be in the final. And, a gymnastics showdance is NOT dancing, however impressive. I can watch her gymnastics championships for that. |

Unappreciating the thought of seeing a very boring showdance from Louizze and Kevin on Saturday

Her skills could still have brought spectacle to the final without it being a gymnastics display. AJ learned early on that wasn't doing them any favours. |

I unappreciate BBC Breakfast promoting "our Ore" this morning! Just quick passing remarks about the others.
![]() Just sent an email of complaint to BBC - about this and about the problems with online voting and telephone voting for Claudia and Danny on Saturday night. This series has been filled with favouritism, bias, over and under marking and promotion of judges' favourites.[/QUOTE I voted online for both Claudia and Danny (3 for me 3 for my grandchildren) and had problems too but I stuck with it and got there in the end. Totally unappreciated the BBC breakfast promotion too. |

I'm consoling myself with the thought that TPTB only want TTF to finally win so they can give him a duffer next year and he'll eff off into obscurity.

Given that dance is moment set to music fair enough you can like her feet.
However, feet are only one part of the dance, horrendous feet can make me wince. But more than anything watching a great dance I am swept away by the emotion, joy or sadness of the dance. Loiuse and her feet haven't done that once this series. Her dances are technically very good but there is no performance included, there has been no journey except her dresses are more fitted, certainly not better. The only emotion I have had from Louise is acute embarrassment. Quote:
BIB: - problem is, neither can she

Well at least we will all get the chance to admire her 'perfect feet', including Louise.

I think they want him to finally win so that he will destroy those videos he has in his special room - the ones with Len, the flying helmet and the wet celery.
Most of the time you can't see her feet due to the lousy camera work. All you get is her face with it's rictus grin and total lack of anything even vaguely resembling exhilaration or joy. *snort* ![]() ![]() ![]() She may have 'perfect feet' ( I don't know and care less) but everything above ground level is beige, boring and insipid. She is a BOT, and not a very good one - refurb model, chip needs updating. |

I'd lose a bit of exquisite footwork for actual joy. I've said more than once (and not just this year) that I personally prefer a less than perfect technical dance done with a bit of vim than something rigidly perfect but sterile.
or were they the other sort of wrong-age. whose been eating my porridge |

I just had a little cry watching Cloudier and AJ's best bits on ITT. I'll really miss them - I hope AJ comes back next year as he seems a brilliant teacher.

For those saying Louise has not had a 'journey' - a rethink is needed.
She HAS progressed. She now occasionally looks up from the floor and has been seen out shopping with the top button of her cardigan unfastened. It's amazing. Danny MUST win. Cliftons must not. Simple really. |

There are pros and cons to them all - what you see as beige, I see as enjoying herself. Personal opinion.
