Deeply appreciating that Janette is basically dragging the Cliftons on Twitter and saying that Oti and Danny were one of the best couples she's seen on Strictly or DWTS (And Oti retweeted it!)

As for Ore? He just gets a congratulations! Love it.

Very much unappreciative of mean-spirited kill-joys.

I unappreciate the burst water main in the High Street which prevented me from visiting my sister and delivering some things I got for her! The town was grid-locked!

That's true. I'd only put what it said in the metro this morning!

I do think she was ever so slightly effusive with her praise for Danny/Oti though, which is fine because I think all the pros wanted them to win.

I have nothing against Ore but I'm sure even he would say Danny was the better dancer week-in week-out. But Ore's journey obviously made for better story for voters.

How horrible of them to go running to the press. Things like this happen all the time. When someone isn't being paid to come to your charity event, you can't hold it against them when they take paid work. In fact when you request their attendance you always sign a thing saying that if work commitments come up, they take precedence.

What journey was that? Really? he did the same dances in the final that he did perfectly(withoutprevioustraining, ahem!) in weeks 3 and 4. Still, len agreed with you and I suppose thats what mattered.

Yes - I didn't get the 'journey' - he went from 27 in weeks 1 and 2 (which was pretty much due to Jwann's dodgy choreography as much as anything else), to 35 in week 3 then 39 in week 4. A 3-week 'journey'. He actually went downhill from there until the semi-final so I really didn't see this huge improvement for a non-dancer that everyone else saw.

Deeply UNappreciating getting a 24 hour ban for responding to a muppet!! and then you can't contact the PTB on the link they provide because it doesn't exist.

And I hate this 'new' board. Every time I open this thread, it takes me to page one.

Honestly and I know you meant it as a joke but I am really quite fed up about the feeling whenever anyone makes a fair point.

The agenda is , ah but you didn't like Ore !

I happen to think that Len's remark about Danny was really quite unfair in the final.

I also happen to think that it was really quite suspicious how the TPTB changed horse midweek in semi final week, where everyone was saying poor Ore really thrown under a bus, to suddenly Ore being top of the leader board for really nothing special in the semifinal.
Then suddenly Mrs Gene Kelly who had commented on his singing in the rain dance is coming to the final and that gets chosen as one of the dances for the final.

Now I have to say if there was blatent favouritism towards Danny that way I would have been glad to see him win. However I would also have felt his win was a bit tainted by the fact that he had won by blatent manipulation..

Yes Danny made mistakes in the final, so possible Ore deserved to win for that but where is anyone who wanted Ore to win, yet still could see it took some heavy handed manipulation to get him there?

Any time anyone makes this point it is almost as though all Ore supporters have been afflicted like the 3 monkeys, what manipulation, I saw none, I heard none, there was none.

I suppose it attracts attention to the walk which is the main thing. I saw this today too.

Which probably explains why he would have loved to have done it.

Oh, yes. He has a lovely voice. I Googled "Danny Mac singing" just to find out what he sounded like and was pleasantly surprised.

But if Ore had been placed lower down the board & been in the dance off the judges could've saved him anyway so why need manipulate it? Also Danny was definitely worse in the dance off against Claudia so was it manipulated in favour for him? Plus Greg was better in the dance off against Claudia, was it manipulated for her? On & on it goes.. Ore won & deserved it on the night.

I think if you just accept it's manipulated, it makes it so much easier.

Yep. I know it's manipulated. I know virtually everything about it is manipulated. I couldn't tell you how it's manipulated or exactly why it's manipulated but I'm damn sure that very little goes on in that show (or any reality show) that hasn't been thought about, pulled around, twisted out of shape, passed through the digestive system of a couple of producers and colonically extracted.

I don't know where the show narratives come from but I know they're there. I have a suspicion that Louise Rainbow starts sniffing the magic markers somewhere around April, then she eats a few specialist cheese and mushroom omelettes just before bedtime for a few days, washing them down with a couple of absinthes. She wakes up and storyboards everything she dreamed about and passes it on to an experimental poet who drafts a resume of the next series in the form of an inspirational haiku. The haiku is given to a troupe of street performers who go back to Louise Rainbow and express the haiku in interpretative dance. Et voila - series 15 is done. Congratulate your winner - Cheryl Tweedy-Cole-Fernandez-Versini-Payneintherear's unborn child.

Yes.
You are correct.

I have been drinking.

was it manipulated last year when that talented but rather limited overgrown toddler won? can't remember his name - the other jive, not ore's?

or was that the year the GBP had the scales fall from their eyes, threw off their mantle as sheeple, stuck it to the man, laughed in the face of mordor (aka the bbc) and truly tasted freedom?
