I think 'There ain't no Pleasing You' has a nice ring to it. Kellie would be good at the acting faces too. 'Rabbit Rabbit' is more a cha cha I think.

ETA, just caught up with rest of thread, liking the Snooker Loopy theme.

Did they re-use the teapot & friends to dance in the Lion King opening number. Because I swear the candelabra was dancing with the pros?

Maybe Disney are very protective of their shows, you have to train to be a teapot, DeltaBlues take note, it's obviously a highly trained performer

Yep. I've said for a couple of weeks that Georgias the only one not even remotely tested, and the judges moved her out of harms way with the QS a thon.

I'm fascinated to see what happens next now. Will the shock D/O and exit mean people will vote for GG next week?

If Anita does a good Salsa and gets above Katie she could suffer if people desert her for Georgia.

I'm convinced GG will get as close to 80 as the judges can get away with, regardless of how well she does.

My blog on this week's show, originally posted on another forum!

''Welcome to tonight's installment - and only an hour long show tonight! I was terrified they'd throw in an extra dance or another one of those 'a-thons' just to pi$$ me off.

Right, we're on - good god, they're over dramatizing this a bit aren't they? I know we're down to the final six - I'd rather it was over completely!

I did enjoy the opening dance - but crap, here comes Daly and Winklepicker - it could be worse, Old Pa Forsyth could still be the presenter! Oh, I forgot - it's 'musicals week' tonight - there'll no doubt be even more pointless props and faffing about than usual! Yes, I know I'm an old Scrooge - but after a day full of going out in the freezing (even with a very thick jacket) cold getting the neighbours Christmas presents out of the way I'm not really in the mood for Strictly!

Oh, yay - the first couple is Georgia & Giovanni:-
I do adore this dance when it's done well - and I thought this was beautifully danced and lovely to watch, although even after watching this show since the start I don't know much about all the technical stuff - but the judges seem to be nitpicking them - except for Revel-Horrid - who's hair seems to resemble a hedgehog - and surprisingly Dreary. There's a lady singing the voting terms & conditions in 'musical' style - I will admit I did chuckle at that.

Anita & Gleb:-
She's ok, but quite dull, and he's an arrogant git - they're visiting the Tower of London, I wish they'd lock him in there! They're doing the Argentine Tango - one of my favourites, as I've said before - and this seemed like an odd one - she was stiff as an old crutch and I didn't like his choreography. The judges weren't fans of it either, except for Old Pa Goodman - a taxi might have to be called for Anita!

Kellie & Kevin:-
I was disappointed to see them in the bottom two with Andre - but hopefully she'll avoid it this week - she is one of my favourites to watch. The Viennese Waltz is another nice, calm dance I like - and a lot of the dance consisted of pointless faffing about with backing dancers - I doubt this was Kevin's idea! Even so, I'll let it pass and say I still very much enjoyed it as a performance - and the theme - and the judges seemed to gush so hopefully they'll stay in!

Jay & Aliona:-
Sh!t, they're dancing a Rumba - and hells bells, they're getting help from that Keating guy from the dreadful Westlife - at least Jay might've found someone more dull than him! Yes, I begrudgingly admit it was good - very good in fact - if only he could have this much personality when he's off the floor!

Katie & Anton:-
Even if they're one of my least favourites', and she's smug and he's a berk, did enjoy their Argentine Tango last week - Foxtrot tonight, and I enjoyed this as well, apart from the faffing about at the start - I fear there might be something wrong with me! And there's only one dance left - woohoo!

Helen & Aljaz:-
I looooooved their Viennese Waltz last week, but I'm not sure she'll be able to pull off a Paso Doble - hopefully she'll prove me wrong! Mixed feelings on this - it all seemed a bit frantic - it wasn't bad at all though. The scores seemed about right to me - Bren will have to confirm!

The shorter running time meant I enjoyed tonight's show a lot more than usual - still wasn't a fan of the pointless props or backing dancers though!

Thanks for reading - I'll be back later to see who got booted off!''

I do a Strictly blog every week on there, and they're all very kind about it.

She's the cha cha, AT and VW left - so I guess the cha cha is happening and either AT or VW will be dropped?

So long as you're not a Gleb Flying Teabag. That'll put me right off my Lapsang Souchong.

Not before the show, but after it's finished I pop open a bottle of red and I'm looking forward to that for the whole show

Crossing my fingers for a good AT. If she had Vincent I would say she would be awesome at it. As Giovanni is an unknown quantity in terms of the AT, we will see.

Oh poo! Love their songs, and would laugh to see some of the pros go uber-literal on the lyrics!

(Guess that means we'd never get he and Jacquie Abbott as guest singers then? )

More likely to get Dave and The South than Paul and Jacquie I reckon

I'd agree. I'm not interested in all this 'never danced before' stuff, I just want to see great dancing in the final stages of the competition... and Anita ain't gonna deliver it!

[quote=DeltaBlues;80639577]Gleb's showdance:

Dry ice swirls. The opening chords of "I Am The One and Only" swell majestically, though not as majestically as Gleb's heart at the sight of himself clad only in leather shorts reflected in the fifteen mirrors strategically placed around the dance floor.

Through the smoke he emerges...slowly, on all fours, like the pinnacle of evolution casting the ooze from the primal swamp from his feet. And there he remains, writhing, caressing the floor, undulating his body across its scuffed and hallowed boards. Never before were dancer and dance floor welded together in such symmetry, such symbiosis. Women in the first three rows faint clean away as Gleb Special is followed by Gleb Even More Special and Gleb So Special It's Banned In Sixteen Countries.

And then, with a final frenzied Flying Teabag at his own myriad reflections, it is over. He lies, panting, absorbing the crescendo of applause. Fire crews around Elstree are mobilised. Tess rings Vernon and tells him she is divorcing him. All the pros start spontaneously speaking Russian. Bruno has an unfortunate accident under the desk. Darcey's mascara streams down her face as she stabs her scoring pad screaming "why doesn't this go up to twenty???" Len's face turns a peculiar colour as his walnuts finally pickle themselves.

Gleb rises and approaches the judges. After some moments, only Craig is capable of speech.

"That was uh-may-zing dahling, although for me it lacked drama. Just one question...where's Anita?"

Gleb's brows furrow, as if trying to recall a distant memory.

"Anita?"[/QUOTE

This is brilliant

The candelabra is a member of the choreography team & was also a backing dancer at Blackpool. Can't remember his name though.

Not me either. Although I loved playing with My Little Pony as a kid, I wanted to be She-Ra or a Thundercat as they did exciting, fighting evil type stuff. I also wanted Famous Five type adventures (but thought that Anne was a drippy moo). Never wore skirts until I was about 12 (for school uniform) & joined the Scouts as soon as they started letting girls in.

In contrast, my 2 daughters are quite girly girls & i've no idea where they get it from.

The teapot and one other (don't think it's the candelabra though) are on Brendan's tour.

Me neither, center forward for Spurs (which given some of their players over the years could have happened ) - no princess yearnings round here.

I wanted to be a truck driver! It's what comes of growing up in a house with 4 brothers - I did have dolls, but instead of Tea Parties, they had fights.....
