Awesome, completely awesome.
Flirted briefly with the idea of Jeannie Longo - but didn't think my French was up to it

Me either! I never wanted to be a Disney princess.
I wanted to be a real queen. My reasoning was that Princesses (specially Disney, which I have always dislike anyway) have no real power, but queens do!

Another truck driver here, but I was one of 3 sisters so I don't think it was your brothers.

In fairness I also had very well dressed dolls, making their outfits was my joy, but all my dolls had adventures such as travelling in the jungle, or going on artic adventures.

I wanted to be a comedienne, but I'm not funny

Results show

Oh what a night of anticipation, and yes there they were, the teapot and candelabra. I had to hang on desperately to my pelvic flaw ! as tears of laughter rained down my cheeks. The candelabra milking his moment was the standout dance of the show couldn't recognise him again due to blurred vision from the laughter shaking and aforementioned tears.

Shows how dull those foxtrots were that we're all fixated on the funereal marching inanimate objects. They could at least have twirled a bit. The funniest thing in the dance off is Bruno jumping up and down trying to see past them to Georgia & Giovanni & gesticulating & moaning to Len about it 😂😂😂

Well at least shows how dull G&G's was. I think they wimped out on turning Giovanni into the beast. I wanted the full makeup, with fur!! Perhaps then they would have kept my attention. Mind you when I saw B&B at the cinema (way too many years ago!) When he turned into the prince I was like "no turn him back!!"

I loved Katie & Anton's foxtrot. Only dance this week I have rewatched, I found her once again mesmerising. Anton might as well not be there as I don't watch him at all.

Not suprised Helen went out but suprised Georgia was there. I am sure she will get a bounce back and end up top three.
Semi difficult to call. All depends on dance choices I suppose. I thought Jay would pick a samba over a charleston. I imagined him and Aliona looking at the charleston with distain. He isn't in danger so I suppose it will be OK.
Will Katies vote hold up with her latin or are they sweeping to the final?
Who knows how strong Kellie and Anita's vote is?
All quite interesting after last night.

Really? I don't think I've ever been so underwhelmed & disappointed in my life I thought this dance was going to be extraordinary & keep Jay from topping the table. It's Anton, ballroom, musicals week, Cabaret, I thought the Stars had all aligned but it was soooo meh, I could have cried.

Her posture was so distracting, she was stood up far too straight, the choreography was underwhelming, she still doesn't convince me that he's not dragging her into position at times, she's still a bit wobbly too.

Funny how we all see such different things.

Not surprised at charleston, it's a crowd pleaser and he was surprisingly good & animated in the group Lindy hop in Blackpool. Aliona has also said it's easy to teach & learn, so in 2dance week he has VW when already done waltz and charleston that Aliona thinks is easy to learn just takes time to perfect performance, I guess.

And, as per OurLeona, it's easier to score high with the Charleston

Charlestons absolutely perfect for Jay - either it gets used as proof that he can "do faces" now or the storyline's back on and his fans burn a hole in the Internet outrage voting. Regardless of whether Aliona has disdain for the thing or not, she's not stupid.

(Also he'll dance it well, I guess that's a consideration right?)

He is much more relaxed when in a group situation and has lots of others to feed off. Hopefully he can remain so when on his own out there with Aliona. Go on Jay convince me, still not going to vote for him but do enjoy his dancing.

I guess Anton was being the anti-Gleb and letting Katie shine - I just like to imagine that in his head he was cane twirling, hat raising, high kicking to his heart's content

I was bored. When she was on hold was really nice, but both the beginning and the end was a bit laborious.
I actually like Katie and had huge hopes for this but felt she is too proper for Sally. Didn't really see that Sally character.

I don't say she's technically perfect, just that I loved it. I don't argue when people say she is the weakest left, she is after Anita, who can sell it well. Everything you said I take to be right as I'm not a dancer, but her errors didn't distract away from the dance....for me. Very few people will agree with me, I don't really care

This is just what I thought. Sally Bowles is a second-rate singer in a 1930's Berlin nightclub. Liza Minelli, although superb, didn't actually get the character in the film which makes it difficult for Katie to do so, given that she was being Liza rather than Sally.

Some people worked out possible permutations on the spoiler thread. I might be confusing a few, but I believe Georgia had to be bottom of the public vote. Anita could have been 3rd on the public vote and survived. And I think, by this model, Kellie could have been 4th.

It's hard to know who is doing better in the votes of Anita and Katie, even taking into consideration the likely panic vote that Anita got on Saturday. I think Jay is topping the vote, but who is second?

I wouldn't be surprised to see Georgia top the leaderboard next week, and I think Kellie will likely be bottom - poor woman has two dances and one is rumba Katie has waltz and Charleston, which you have to imagine will be good. However, Jay has Charleston on the same night which could over-shadow Katie's. I imagine a leaderboard of Georgia, Jay, Anita, Katie and Kellie, but if they want to engineer something, then who knows what excuse they'll manage?

I don't think long floaty dress + wig + hat really makes Katie into Sally Bowles (or Liza Minelli) but I thought it was one of her better dances - I'm generally underwhelmed by her.

Given Jay's leg mobility - he's sort of the anti-Peter - I'd expect him to be able to do a good Charleston, and probably, like Louis Smith, suddenly produce 'character' in abundance when freed up from trying to convey deep emotion while keeping everything else together. Have never understood their obsession with his ickle face. I know it's his 'journey' but half of them are doing odd things with their face, not least King of Performance (according to the judges) Peter, who used to dance with his tongue hanging out half the time!

If he can look like he's enjoying it as much as the QSathon, then that's happy enough for me. If someone is pretty good, then Charleston does tend to be a very high scoring dance - in fact, the only good dancer with a pretty duff Charleston I can think of is Helen, though I've probably forgotten a couple.

Sometimes a dance, or dancer, just works and clicks for you, and there's nowt wrong with that. I still like Chris Hollins, enjoyed most of his dances at the time, mistakes and all, and I'm still glad he won, and Katie is a way better dancer then Chris ever was.
