Don't get me wrong, she did a fair job with what she was given. But I wanted her to get music and staging that suited the dance much more, and that might have helped her with it too.
I know.

Go and watch the Movie week foxtrot again to cheer yourself up.

Monkseal's poll told me off for trying to multi vote for my favourite Helen routine.

It would have helped! Music has a huge influence, and for Pasos traditional music is 50% of the battle.

That's my favourite too! Love that foxtrot.

By the unappreciating one of my accuatiances today. She has just told me that she votes about 130 or so times for Anton every week!
I am not sure how that's possible!

And I thought I was a soopah fan!

Is there anyone in this thread with normal friends? Everyone seems to be posting about how their friends and acquaintances are/were voting for PP, Anton etc!

Mine might be okay, the females that were all about Gleb are now completely over him and think he's a bit rubbish. My PP loving friend ended up finding him smarmy, rubbish and 'wish to hell he'd shut up'. No one I know would vote for Anton, or at least admit it in public, apart from my Mum and we don't let her near the phone

My friend told me yesterday she's voting for Anita, but I think she means Gleb

I'm not either. I would have thought her hands would be too tightly bound up in her straitjacket to be able to dial.

Id rather see the truncheon dancing with Anita than Gleb but that's a whole different show I feel

I now have a vision that the final three will be a Wobbly Katie & Anton, Airborne Anita & Gleb & Jay & Aliona. With Georgia & Giovanni getting knocked out in the first round.

Wel, come on, it's 130 times, I know the woman is unhinged but her ovaries still work obviously. I think it's the velvet, nothing says manful in the bedroom like a green velvet waistcoat (even I think I've gone too far this time and I've made myself throw up a little)

My PP loving soopafan of a friend now admits I was right in 1996
I knew she'd get there eventually.

I appreciate that Anita isn't dance trained [didn't know that did you] but unappreciate that Gleb in his efforts to showcase himself has failed his partner in improving her technique. She may yet win but it will be inspite of Gleb not because of him.

My PP loving friend finally flounced off on Sat. She hates Jay and said the whole show was a fix. She loved Peter Schmeical and John Sergeant. Says it all. We haven't communicated since.

I knew doing Strictly was one of the worst decisions he could have made PR wise, he's really not built for live tv outside scripted interviews.

I think he and his people vastly underestimated how much hard work it was going to be.

She is a bit off! But I guess I know now why she is still there.

Forgive my belated ness, I have but two words...
Piggin' pasos!
Hear, hear. Still mourning the loss of Helen to Monkseal's reindeer ghosts in a darkened room...or that's my version of where she's gone....

True. This year the music for Pasos has been less than stellar, except Anita's.

I actually liked Helens dance. I thought it was the most musical like, but not really a paso and she did get a bit lost in it!
Yep. Definitely way too many bodies on that dance floor...

Now can't shake the mental image of Anton performing some athletic feat of sexual prowess and ending it by saying 'Ha ha! Marvellous!'

With a rumba? Added to that the poor cow is following a Jay rumba, just like she had to follow the Jay jive, bless her.

Also, poor Katie in a battle of the charlestons with Jay. She's old enough to be his mum and she's lumbered with Anton, so not King of the Latin who has an utter disdain for charleston and lifts Katie like the old man from Up. It's going to be epic
