Just imagine if the two best jives had been from the tallest girl in it and a 6 foot (plus?) bloke! It would have fried the brains of the judges. (As if that hasn't already happened...)

Just a thought - isn't the usual journo bit around this stage in the competition that weirdo from Heat magazine? Maybe this was better...

Please don't call it an "event". I start thinking about someone selling tickets.

Well, it's a shame she hasn't had the opportunity to dance to it then.

They should give her a song by Chicago just to see if an entire group can also be her favourite song.

I liked Zoe but I was still using the official BBC SCD message board at that time. I only migrated over here once they closed those down although I used to be a lurker/reader of the spoiler thread here long before I created an account.

Zoe's Tango's probably my all time favourite dance.

Just watched all of Jays' dances again before going to bed. Even if he doesn't win he has given me so much pleasure this year. For me the best male dancer ever on the show.

All she mentioned was interviewing Jay and Aliona so I sense she just ran out of time to say anything else.

I thought she said Jay and Aliona - shouldn't it be Georgia and Giovanni tomorrow?

Unappreciating charities.

A very elderly relative of mine is being hounded by respectable charities to the extent of being door stepped by them.

She has always been generous but the more she gives the more they ask. For lots and lots of money.

Any clever people on here know how to get it to stop?

And back on topic, I miss Helen, it really wasn't her time to go she was done for by the god awful song choice, way to many backing dancers, a wobble and and stupid judging.

I thought she danced it much better the second time around but it was shite theming that was never going to suit her, if you look at the actual dance it was damn good.

She was also done for by Craig and his well deserved critism of Anita, you plonker Craig too low a score always causes a sympathy vote. I thought it was the right score, what the hell was that , it was a badly danced show dance with no effort at even pretending to be an AT

Above all do we know Anita has never danced before, oh ffs really ?

It's every word out of anyone's mouth , I am going to call her Anita NDB just to remind us that she is Anita Never Danced Before. Yawns .

Any help with the charities gratefully received.

I feel your pain, copper. I live in a warden assisted property and the dear old lady who lived here before me sadly passed away in February. Yet I still get at least two begging letters a day for her. I asked the postman to stop them at source ie the PO but still they come.
Doorstepping her? That's a bit off. Have you considered collecting a sheaf of the letters and then contacting the Daily Mail? I know the Mail is not everybody's cup of tea but earlier this year they ran a major campaign against exactly what your relative is going through. I think it was after that elderly lady was hounded to death by the charities. They really got their teeth into it which ended with new laws being passed. It's only a phone call but it may help especially if they have a bored journalist available.

Coppertop, there are a number of sites you can access if you search "How to stop charities begging letters". The One Show ran a campaign back in June about it. Good luck.

The local CAB may have a notice she can put on the door to stop the cold callers. They are usually very firm but polite. For the mail, an alternative is if you write direct to the various charities asking for her name to be removed they will.

Would it be worth contacting the Fundraising Standards Board? They might be able to offer advice particularly about the doorstepping.

I miss Helen too - and I'm totally able to because I did vote for her . It couldn't have been more obvious she was in trouble on Saturday and her totally graceful exit interview yesterday made it clear she was aware of it as well. I loved Jamellia and her air quotes and eye rolly Tristan, and I equally loved Helen gently making it clear she had heard the bus coming all week and Alijaz backing her up.

I think the thing that irks me most about the constant NDB is that it's being used to justify/excuse/explain away/gloss over technical faults that should have been if not ironed out by now then at least be significantly less crinkly in week 12 than they were in week one. Regardless of their starting points, I don't think the Week One others could have done the dances they did on Saturday to that standard, but I don't think there would have been much difference with Anita's - and that's the rub for me. I like day-job Anita, Anita-away-from-Gleb seems much lighter - it's just efficient, Getting the School Project in on time Anita that leaves me a bit cold.

I wanted to be the next David Hockney. Princess? I already was in my Daddy's eyes, but we both loathed tacky illustration and preferred Gerald Scarfe.

He's better when he is away from the restrictions and ridiculous body shapes demanded of ballroom. He is a natural dancer. Ballroom hold and stance is not natural to any dancer. That is the difference.

He knows I think that she is actually limited in what she can do. When he tried clever stuff she failed miserably.

Wildly O/T but deeply unappreciating the leader of ISIS (??!), Donald Trump and Putin all being shortlisted for TIME's Person of the Year. I honestly thought it was a spoof list when I first saw it!

This has become my favourite blog of choice. Find it very funny, but I also like the fact that she actually knows about dance. Very dry and very witty.

Ssssshhh! A select few have always known this, which is why we have been going strong for years and get so many quiet 'appreciative' followers. I don't go Out There much any more. Cannot be bothered. The brains, the irony and the wit are all here

Bit speechless at that I haven't read up on the reasons, and I suppose they have all made the news, but, really

I'll stick with Jay's opinion on Mr Trump ...

The charity thing has gotten really bad. We contribute to several every month and we still get calls from the same charities to ask increases. Right now I just never answer the landline.

Another FM has named her St Anita the Untrained. I think it's very fitting.

Deeply unimpressed by the journo line up on the last ITT.

Is that all they could find, for heaven's sake? What a waste of time! Unappreciating a lot of ITT.

It really scrapes the barrel sometimes. Have always liked Zoe (she's a local and a very down to earth person) but some of the stuff she has to come out with must stick in her craw.

Hope she is well paid for this
