There we go - Viennese Waltz to "My Favourite Things" in her granny's old nightie.
Sophie already did that!

Nope. Still have no idea you had better give me up as a bad deal
Music time signatures - waltzes are in 3/4 time (three beats to the bar - count it... 1,2,3,1,2,3) and foxtrots in 4/4 (again count it).

Try tapping out 1,2,3,1,2,3... to "Beauty and the Beast" and you should see it doesn't work because it's not actually in that time signature. Try it again with 4 beats to the bar and it's fine.

The "slow" is simply the pace - the song is slow and has four beats to the bar.

Don't worry about it sweetie, SCD is the gift that keeps on giving.
Next week War Drobe will have Kellie in a dress made out of loo paper and crisp packets, the judges will give Katie 8's even if she wobbles over onto the floor, Gleb will hump a lamp post brought in for Singin' In The Rain, the leaderboard will be upside down, Tess will say something completely inane and then Jay will quieten all the bitching by looking gorgeous in tails.
Bravo

I am still amazed how well Jay has managed to dodge the spray tanners. He and Helen must hide in a cupboard somewhere.😂😂😂 He only had it for the paso.

Group dance of The Barn Raising from Seven Brides
No thanks. Seven Brides is one of my favourite films - don't want Day Varch anywhere near it.
I'd bet my "I'm a Jaypet sooperfan" t-shirt he's got a charleston in musicals week 😉 (Only because I have a spare 😜 )
Racing certainty I should think, just to finish off the 'acting' storyline.
The judges usually 😉

I'd liketo see them massace that as a pro dance

I love Seven Brides....so cheesy and Howard Keel singing Bless Your Beautiful Hide, his voice gives me shivers. Now Goin' Courtin' from that is a cheesy waltz, if K&K hadn't already done one it would be perfect for them!!
See above. Although as June Bride is my least favourite song, maybe a VW to that one. Have Kellie and TTF done VW yet?

I wonder if they will have to lay a spray tanner off now Pete's gone? It must have halved their work load.

He's probably shagging the tanners as a bribe to let him off, then shagging Helen in the cupboard to save her

Thank you actually got that. Now I know why I can't dance or sing. That's why I love people who can. There is nothing better than a man who can dance [for me any way]

Very good explanation. I just couldn't be bothered to explain it, was too much like being in work mode for me

So people can bitch about him getting the holy grail of music + theme + dance again

It's a nailed on cert, I imagine.

No, just the waltz waltz.

I had such a crush on Howard Keel and Gordon McRae. Loved The Dessert Song I wanted to be Kathryn Grayson so much.

Love Seven Brides! Barn raising is one of my favourite dances from a musical. Goin' Courtin' (and Bless Your Beautiful Hide for that matter too) would be great, but I suspect it'll be jukebox musicals, very well known numbers and title songs only. No thinking outside the box or using lesser known numbers even though they could be suitable.

Are they going to be raiding Bugsy Malone again?
I really hope so.

I suggested it not knowing Cola used it, so went back to watch and I'm sorry most average Charlestons are better than that now. It was just the surprise factor that made it great.

That Bugsy Malone Song deserves an epic Charleston and it fits in with Jays need to be cool.

Good one. Kellie can just dance in her underwear.

Well she has looked like a reject from The Sound Of Music a few times!!
Poor Kellie.
Someone in wardrobe is eyeing up their nan's floral curtains to cut up for next week.

Since she's on shaky ground, I really hope she gets a decent dress next week.
One. Just one nice dress in an entire series isn't to much to ask, is it?

You usually hear the drum on beat 2 and 4 to allow you to keep time. Slow - think Adele paced, ballad speed.

Then you get compound time signatures like 12/8 for Memory from Cats, just to confuse you further.

Have they used 'Anything Goes' yet? Or anything from 'The Boyfriend'? Some good potential Charleston tunes there.

If it is a case that she's picking her own stuff, then War Drobe needs to drug her and wrestle her into something they had intended for Katie.

I grew up with The Desert Song, my mum's favourite. Knew all the songs by about the age of 5.

One Alone would be a beautiful waltz!! And I can sing all the Kathryn Grayson songs in it, beautiful music!!

You'd think.
And if she is having some input, then can't Vicky Giggles just ignore her and do her own thing?
