Very odd situation!
I programmed both HDR 2000T's for CH4's Last Flight Of The Vulcan Bomber on Friday Nov. 29th 19:30 t0 21:00.
Both failed to start on time!
I was near one of them and noticed this and started the recording manually.
The other one I left and noted it started at 20:00 i.e 30 minutes late!
Both EPG's appeared to be correct i.e start time 19:30 finish 21:00.
I am assuming that the PVR's look for a 'start' flag in the transmitted programme?
Assuming this is the case then if this was missing then all PVR's would have suffered this failure to start?
Would be interested to hear from other owners and anyone else who suffered this failure to start!

Set to record Sunday Evening Ch4 HD on HDR FOX T2. Programme started OK 2 mins early but only recorded 62 mins. Last 30 mins not recorded.

Agreed, my Fox T-2 started recording at 19:59, missing the first 30 mins, but then recorded OK to the end (WinterHill C4 HD). It is repeated on 4 seven/HD at midnight on 2/12 and at 19:30 on 4/12, hopefully they won't mess those up.

Didn't record on my 9200 or a friend's 9300. Didn't wait to see if it started late, just reprogrammed for the +1 channel. My old 8000 that simply relies on timings recorded it perfectly, there's a moral there somewhere.

My old 9200, which I use as a backup, also recorded only 19:59-20:59.

Thanks for the reminder about 4 seven-have now reset the recorders for later date.
Has anyone any theorys as to why this failure happened and why some started correctly but failed to complete the recording whilst others started 30 mins late?
Still a mystery as to why all the Humaxes set to record this programme did not fail as all looking for the same 'start' flag in programme stream?
Would the start flag be generated seperatelly at each transmitter which would explain if there was a problem at some transmitters and not others then this would explain why some PVR's were affected and not others?
Will have to read up on all this start flag business!

It was the same on Freesat, with both my Foxsat HDR and HB 1000S both not recording the first half hour.

Thankfully I realised and got it on the +1 instead, which recorded ok.

C4 is regionalised for commercial play-outs, possibly something to do with that. Human error is the most likely cause. Programming play-out systems is a stressful thankless task, it's wonder more mistakes aren't made.
