I've always thought it incredibly rude of people to come visiting when they know full well there's loads of great stuff on the telly. Or, worse, pester you to visit them when there's loads of great stuff on the telly.
I can't fathom out why the BBC and ITV do it each year - you'd think they'd realise it was Christmas and not put anything much on.
