Another excuse to dress Kellie as a peasant!

And irrc Nancy wasn't a land lady of a pub but a lady of the night wan't she?

You are correct. Nancy may have a heart of gold, but her exterior is low end floozie.

She should have a red dress: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OlKccuS_ayk

Better than a lot of her outfits.

And this song is set in a pub, so I think the Strictly PG version of the story that she's working in the pub is reasonable.

It will all be about Kevin as the Artful Dodger though. And it might well get them through to next week - it's a very popular song and show.

the tune is ok and costume no matter how raggy will suit theme and they may just do a good dance - surely the dance is what it is a bout ))

the song is all about Nancy though and in the film she did dance round with dodger so reasonable to do that - no real reason to think it will be all about dodger

Yes I agree. And the actress who played that part was lovely in it, dress and role!

I think that Kevin in the full Dodger outfit with hat will draw the eye - it seems to me something he's made for. Kellie as Nancy has a harder job - imo. Normally in the real show it would all be about Nancy, but wouldn't that be because she's singing? Still, if you disagree, it wasn't meant as a dig - I think Kevin as Dodger will be a big vote winner for them.

OK. I'll buy it It should really suit them and it is a clear crowd pleaser. It just doesn't seem like a particularly natural choice for a VW.

I just had a fleeting dream of Kellie getting a clearly wonderfully elegant frock at some point.

Also, I know zip about dance, so for all I know it might be a great VW song.

Well its the right time signature and often SCD waltzes are to tracks in 4/4 time. I would have though it on the slow side but that may not matter. And its German which is quite close to Vienna. In fact I think Oom pah pah is Bavarian so even closer to Austria. Its looking like a shoo in.

Wonder if there will be some dogography from Bill Sykes' bull terrier?

didnt take it as you were making a dig, I am a kev fan dont hide it but supporting GG for win as I think unfortunately it has been decided who will make final - but slowed down correctly it will make a good VW and Kev will please Old Len by doing a good one I'm sure

just galls me that Anton will probably get through dancing stiff latin and only reasonable ballroom - summed it up for me when Bruno on saturday just went on how lovely Katie looked and not the faults or the dancing for that matter

Nancy is the role Kellie was born to play, in a Shani Wallis rater than a Georgia Brown sort of a way. Blatant crowd pleaser, and it'll be right up Craig's strada.

I think Eastenders will go all out to promote Kellie this week, the character she plays loves Oliver, she has a picture up in the pub and called her Son Ollie.

I don't really want to be mean but...Nancy is supposed to be a very young lady and the Artful Dodger is a boy. I know Kevin is on the short side but...
I just hope it won't be embarrassing, that's all.

I must admit I have fleeting dreams about past contestants

Its a bit of a heavy stomp of a tune for a VW.

It seems like the perfect song choice for Kevin and Kellie. I can absolutely picture them in those roles and they both seem to love the dances where they can play very distinctive characters.

Well they played Harry Potter and Herimione Granger quite easily, so I don't think it will be a problem!

Dodger can be a little older like in the Terry Pratchett book, he doesn't actually have to be a child.

I think Kevin's going to be so brilliant as Dodger and I can see Kellie as Nancy too. Great song for a VW too, it fits perfectly.

This is going to be a brilliant routine. I'm really looking forward to it now!

I think it will suit them .. they're very good at acting out storylines (like their QS) and this has the potential for some comedy. Not sure how that fits in with the VW but Pixie and Trent managed to fit in a bit of comedy into their Foxtrot and it was awesome.

Hope they go full corset dress for Kellie. Like the one that Sam Barks wore.

I really wouldn't recommend doing that, Terry.
