Why Is Everyone Jumping On The Jay Bandwagon ? - Surely Helens Dancing Is The One We Must Now Watch On Strictly ?

Having now watched Jays dancing very closely and compared his dancing in detail with Helens, I find that Helen has much more potential to progress on Strictly Come Dancing, her journey through the show, her charming personality, her ability to show emotion with her facial expressions, her light weight footwork, it all adds up to a big plus for Helen.

This view could be in the minority bearing in mind Jays apparent ability to mesmarize with his dancing on Strictly Come Dancing.

Who has the Strictly X Factor for you, Jay or Helen and why would that be ?

Who would you like to get down and dance with on the Strictly floor ?

Jay or Helen or another ?

See I find Helen cold and her routines forgettable. For me Anita is the best female this year. But over all I think Jay is the best but that might be because I love Aliona

The only bandwagon that I'm riding is Gleb's.

Is that what they're calling it these days? 😱😱😱😜

Why's everyone on the Jay bandwagon?
Well speaking as someone who hasn't bought a ticket for that particular bandwagon I would argue it is to do with:
THAT jive in week 3 (and his overall dance ability).
His personality connects with and appeals to many people.

Who has the strictly X Factor, Jay or Helen?
Too hard to say really, both outstanding dancers - though I'd probably lean towards Jay as I don't think Helen has matched the technique of Jay's jive. I want to add Georgia into the mix here though, IMO she combines performance and technique the best out of all the celebs.

Who would you like to get down and dance with on the Strictly floor?
I'm sure Jay would be fun but I'd be more comfortable dancing with a woman! I fear Helen may be a little prim and proper for "getting down" on the dance floor, so I'll go with Georgia, a bit biased probably - but surely it's always going to be people's favourites.

I expect Jay to win.
My favourite is Anita.

The OP is writing as though there are only two contestants but I suppose he has to find another allegiance as his preferred candidate has been voted out.

Why's everyone on the Jay bandwagon?
speaking purely for myself here, (with 'some' dance knowledge other than just watching SCD) his beautiful lines, gave me shivers

Who has the strictly X Factor, Jay or Helen?
There's something about the 'boy next door' that started the show, who's grown in front of our eyes. Who coped with the gutter press + close family bereavement. However, I've loved some of Helens dances, also Georgia's+ Anita's, so am by no means blinkered.

Who would you like to get down and dance with on the Strictly floor?
jay for me, as long as I have a box to stand on!

I find both Helen and Jay quite dull when dancing, they have both had great dances, but I prefer some of the others, especially those who have improved a bit more.
I can't deny that last week Helen was by far the best though.

I dont think anyone is 'jumping on the bandwagon'. It seems that the Jay fans have been so since day one (myself included).

I haven't seen anyone switch allegiance. Jay was a foregone conclusion. Personally I would rather see Anita win but think the only one to cause a potential upset is Georgia.
Also, Jay, Anita and Georgia all have Showstoppers: jive, paso and charleston. Her waltz is too current to be repeated only three weeks later (although a possibility).

Yes his wagon overfloweth with band, the minute he stepped out to cha, cha with his curls tumbling around his shoulders.

That is not a bandwagon. It is a rag and bone cart delivering Kellie's outfit for this week.

I kinda thought the whole Jay thing had cooled slightly over the last few weeks <shrugs> I like Jay and I think he has a lot of potential but I don't think he will win unfortunately. But after his high point, that Jive, his other dances other than the Tango last week have been a little mediocre which has sort of taken him off the boil with a lot of people around here, or at least I am not seeing as many 'Jay must win!' speeches as I did at the start of the show. Helen ... you know I have just not been able to make a connection with her for some reason. Her dancing has been a little inconsistent too. She is great at ballroom, but some of her Latin numbers have been dreadful, see the Charleston at Blackpool as an example.

As others have said I would tip Georgia maybe to win, or Anita, but although I have no doubt Helen will be in the final I just can't see her winning. Her constant expression of needy comments when she is up at the Judges has worn thin with me a little, and she just doesn't exude friendliness or compassion as some of the others do. You could imagine hanging out with Kellie, or Anita, Georgia and Jay, maybe not so much Katie and having a good time, but with Helen I think you'd get the cold shoulder.

So X factor? Are we allowed to say those words here? Jay has it over Helen.

And who to dance with, lol. Well as a bloke I think I'll go with Helen, but I'd be thinking of Jay

Helen - so controlled, so posed, so well presented, so artificial.
Will the real Helen please stand up.

yeah I like aliona too....

as for 'bandwagon', I think there are at least 4 potential winners. Helen is a VERY good dancer, but i DUNNO SOMEHOW i THOUGHT i WOULD LIKE HER MORE THAN I DO.

Didn't Kara do her rhumba for the first time in the semi final and again a week later in the final?

I also think georgia and anita in particular are more skilled in the art of 'selling' them selves...ie. the 'northern lasses' thing at blackpool, references to family, and 'no dance training, totally inexperienced ' stuff in the case of anita....its all clever stuff. Abbey Clancy was a real PRO at it..it turned her fortunes around totally. Helen is a bit too 'straight' in comparison!

We are talking about the same Helen aren't we? Helen that I have to have a cushion handy to hide behind because never quite sure how it's going to go, who wibbles in front of the judges and melts down by degrees waiting for the call out?

You're both right, she's so controlled, posed, well presented and definitely artificial, particularly when she's in front of the judges and waiting for the call out. I don't know how Aljaz puts up with her "luvvieness".

I'm firmly ensconced on Georgia's bandwagon but wherher she'll win or not I couldn't say, I worry she peaked too early with those 3 great weeks in a row!! Helen is ok as a dancer but not keen on the Helen we see the rest of the time, as someone else says it would be interesting to see if that's the real her!! Anita has really engaged the public with her determination & her performance skills, she has a great chance since the public have more & more sway in the later stages!! Kellie is mega consistent, Katie not so much but she gets the 'Anton votes!' Jay is an enigma, when he's good no one else comes close but he makes glaring errors sometimes!!
It's the closest most fascinating final six I can remember!!
Regarding who I would like to dance with, Georgia without a doubt, I'm utterly useless & I think she would be the one i could have a laugh with about it!!

I totally agree, i really cannot stand her. She loves it when Darcey goes into raptures about her, but they are both ballet dancers, what more do you expect.

I find her very wooden and a very good actress😏!!!
