This thread desperately needs some missing episodes to be found.
Definitely yes please. I do believe there are undiscovered episodes out there. Not the whole 97 . The worry is what condition they may be in.
The "missing episodes" thread has someone saying Power of the Daleks is due out on DVD before Christmas. I spose that's one straw we can clutch at.

That would be awesome!

Will you not be purchasing Class Series One?

To be honest forgot all about class. ive never bought any of the Sarah Jane adventures on DVD although I have off air copies, and most of them I have not seen yet and I have been thinking of getting the complete bosses. I will do the same with class. If it's any good I will probably get it yes.

Tonight, I re-watched The Witch's Familiar. There were only four characters, all from the previous episode, The Doctor, Clara, Davros and Missy. And they all lived. Thus, the count remains at:

Men: 11
Men who die: 4

Women: 10
Women who die: 0

Tonight, I re-watched Under The Lake and Before The Flood.

There were seven characters besides The Doctor and Clara:

Male:
Captain Moran: Dies
Lunn: Lives
Pritchard: Dies
Bennet: Lives
Albar Prentis: Dies

Female:
O'Donnel: Dies
Cass: Lives

That makes the count:

Men: 16
Men who die: 7

Women: 12
Women who die: 1

Yes, we actually, finally had a female die. Six males died before the first female, but it finally happened. What do you know? Still the ratio is nearly half the men die whilst only a single female dies. Of course.

Notice the ratio of ghosts in this episode, 4 males (or 5 at times with The Doctor's Ghost) to the single female.

Brace yourself, chaps - we may have a contender for the most unexpected release of 2016.

There's a new listing up at Amazon UK for a Blu-ray of the TV Movie. Two discs, to be released on 19/09/16.

Hey, that is my Birthday!

Is there a listing for the US release?

Since I am not sure if there will be enough releases to justify a 2017 list, I am going to add the single listing that we have thus far for 2017 to this list (although I will transfer that list to a new thread if there are enough later to justify it). Thus, the list becomes:

The Complete Second Series (Blu-ray): US: August 23rd
Series Eight, Part One (DVD): US: September 20th
Weeping Angels (DVD): US: October 4th
The Complete Third Series (Blu-ray): US: November 15th
Series Eight, Part Two (DVD): US: December 13th
The Complete Fourth Series (Blu-Ray): US: March 14th, 2017.

I hope that I am truly able to add The TV Movie on Blu-Ray to this list for both the US and the UK soon.

Tonight, I re-watched The Girl Who Died (what a misnomer, she doesn't die, in fact she lives FOREVER).

Anyways, here is the count from the episode:

Male:
11 Male Vikings taken up into the ship: Died
Chuckles: Lives
Heidi: Lives
Lofty: Lives
Limpy: Lives
Odin alien: Lives

Female:
Ashildr: Lives FOREVER
Female Baby: Lives

That makes the running total:

Men: 31
Men Who Die: 18

Women: 14
Women Who Die: 1

The scene where 13 people are taken up to the alien ship (11 male and 2 Female and all 11 males die while both of the female live is especially telling).

Cultbox confirms the tv movie is getting a blu-ray release in the UK on 19th September- http://www.cultbox.co.uk/news/headli...form=hootsuite

Interesting, as presumably they'd have had to do all the visual effects again.

Yeah. Unless they've given it the TNG HD treatment - rescan the film elements and recreate the sfx in HD.

Series Eight, Part One (DVD): US: September 20th
Weeping Angels (DVD): US: October 4th
The Complete Third Series (Blu-ray): US: November 15th
Series Eight, Part Two (DVD): US: December 13th

In the US, we have been having a release of something every month for many, many years. While they are definitely running out of things to release, I could see next year going something like:

January: Class Series I
February: The 2016 Christmas Special
March: The Complete Fourth Series (Blu-Ray) (Already Confirmed)
April: The TV Movie (Blu-Ray)
May: Series Nine Part One (DVD)
June: The Complete Tenth Series (Blu-Ray)
July: Series Nine Part Two (DVD)
August: Series Ten Part One (DVD)
September: Zygons (DVD)
October: Series Ten Part Two (DVD)

And then I have run out of stuff to release. LOL!
What do y'all think?

Tonight, I watched "The Woman Who Lived".

Characters besides The Doctor and Clara:

Men:
Driver: Lives
Passenger: Lives
Mr. Fanshawe: Lives
Sam Swift: Lives
Clayton: Lives
Leandro: Dies
2 Guards: Live
Mr. Baxter: Lives

Women:
Passenger: Lives
Ashildr: Lives FOREVER
Mrs. Baxter: Lives
Generic Lady: Lives

Total:
Men: 9
Men Who Die: 1

Women: 4
Women Who Die: 0

Running Total:

Men: 40
Men Who Die: 19

Women: 18
Women Who Die: 1

The men are still running at 47.5% death rate while the women are running at a 6% death rate. Hmmm......

Is the tv movie definitely coming to blu ray???? What are the extras?

Is it too much to ask for night of the doctor, which i know you can get elsewhere, and a version of the sharda webcast you can watch on your telly????

Sort of the nearest you could get to an eight doctor boxset....

Well considering night of the doctor and the tv movie are two completely separate productions, and night of the doctor is already on Day of the Doctor DVD/blu ray's, i'd very much doubt it.

Some bad news about the Series 2 Blu-ray which I imagine will also have implications for Series 3 and 4.

They don't know if it's just postponed or cancelled, however.

Well, that changes the list to:

The Complete Second Series (Blu-ray): US: ?

Series Eight, Part Two (DVD): US: December 13th
The Complete Fourth Series (Blu-Ray): US: March 14th, 2017.

I hope that they put it in the queue for later this year and that it doesn't affect the Series 3 and Series 4 release dates. I need my Tennant on Blu-Ray, please don't take these away from me. LOL! (Well, I guess that it will be one more item that they will be able to release in order to flesh out next year.)

It looks as if I will be buying K-9: The Complete Series this month instead.

Seeing as it's the same doctor I don't see why they can't have it on there. It's only 7 minutes long after all. With all the extras in sd and its 7 minutes it's not like it's not going to have room for it
