from sale. Quote:
There is disquiet at Sky, who have a monopoly on live England cricket rights, that the ECB have sold clips of Test action to the BBC website for what is believed to be a knockdown price — despite the Corporation turning their back on televised Test cricket years ago. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/foo...-Mourinho.html
However, the ECB, who will not reveal what the BBC are paying, are desperate for further free-to-air involvement. |

Or maybe Nasser can't get the time off from his day job of working at a school!

I'm all for the two divisions for tests; even if it includes ODI results too. I'd have three divisions, the third made up of Ireland/Scotland/Holland/Kenya/Afghanistan (if they aren't in the second!) etc but let them play 4-day games and on a neutral venue if it suits.
A league table gets fans interested in games that don't involve their country as well. |

Well Sky have really ruined cricket writers on TV. I wonder why they've done this? It can't be viewing figures, surely they don't matter for these types of programmes

It can't be a costly excerise though. Allot, Selvey and Hoult got paid for today and a few cameramen. How much more does an extra half hour cost?
I'm fed up of sky shrinking other sports to pay for football. |

Sky also cut football programmes for Spanish football etc.
Think having the show from the grounds makes sense and means far more members of the press to pick from but shame its not a full hour now |

I used to enjoy Cricket Writers but it seemed all a bit of a waste of time today.
Thought it must be due to cut backs as today looked very cheap and cheerful. |

Cricket Writers on TV was my one of my favourite shows on Sky, but cutbacks have made it crap.

Why don't they use the studio boxes at the ground, surely who ever was presenting whatever cricket match following, could just take up the seat, used by Paul Allot and the writers during the add break
