Next summers schedule has a very different look to it.

That is a busy summer, International Cricket going on until 29 September they will be lucky to get all of them played, without weather bad light causing problems, especially a ODI in Bristol on 24 September good luck to them.

Will be interesting, to see how South Africa deal with the colder April conditions, and how the West Indies can do when possibly a bit more heat about.

Will the September test begin at 10.30am, as the County Championship games in September begin at 10.30, I know you've got the lights, but if it rains, and you have to add overs at the end of the day good luck.

Can never get into September cricket, as seem odd and wrong, but next summer got no choice.

T20 Finals day on September 2, they are hoping it will stay dry for 12 hours, good luck on them. And why is Finals Day at bloody Edgbaston again.

So i'm guessing there will be very little domestic one day cricket on tv next year? Big cross over with the champions trophy!

The one day cup is being played in a block. Mainly in April.
I'm guessing group stages April. Knockouts and final after the champions trophy

What is the point of paying for Sky if they do not show their traditional Nottinghamshire vs Yorkshire County Championship match from Trent Bridge?

Think that's a good venue as it's as central for all 18 counties as can be. Also handy if your team is Warwickshire!

Warwickshire will never be involved in T20 finals day.

Looks as though the ECB have forgotten what the weather can be like in the first half of May, and the second half of September.

Don't like the idea of seven Tests in two months, either.

In fairness history says the weather in the period in between isn't that great either!

Isn't the September test a Day/Night test? Thought I heard some mention of that on TMS this afternoon

Nothing has been confirmed re a Day/Night Test next summer, but it has been said the ECB are thinking of making the 1st Test versus the West Indies on 17th August at Edgbaston a D/N.

Test are in july/August for SA.

WI got August/September for the test but mostly in August.

probably the best schedule with all the test in the height of the summer.

I meant April more as a figure of speach, meaning be interesting to see how they perform while it maybe a bit cold and ball swinging.

While the West Indies for once are able to play test cricket, when it's hot

Its a good schedule apart from the WI ODI series. Which isn't needed.

Bhaveshgor, have you heard anything about a D/N test next summer?

Myself I just can't seem to get into Cricket come September, It's colder it gets darker earlier.

The 24 September ODI in Bristol concerns me, I'm a Bristolian, It is a Day Game, not sure if they will be allowed to use the Floodlights if it gets dark, I know they couldn't last summer as they can only be used so many times a year. Maybe as these games have just been announced this was taken into account.

Are they trying to destroy finals day, Surely it should be in height of summer not September 2.

Rumours of Edgbaston having a D/N test but doubt it would actually happen, 12 months to prepare for the game is too short of a time span.
Really sounds like Warwickshire don't want to host WI and are trying to sell their tickets right now.
If Edgbaston are to host the D/N test then a pink dukes ball or a pink Kookabura ball needs to be tested in England, English players would need to play 2-3 first class games under light in England and again WI players would need a warm up game under lights in England.

Doubt the england team would allowed ECB to host the game under lights without them playing 2-3 games under lights in first class cricket in England.

Pakistan sales are very slow, so I can't imagine the WI being any better.
Smack bang in the middle of the school holidays with football starting too.

Can't believe ECB didn't pay any broadcaster to show some women kia t20 competition.

Are they, where did you see that? You can't get them through their website

sorry didn't phrase it properly they trying to make the game unique because they expect poor ticket sales for the game.
Dobell mentioned at the time and so did others when Birmingham and lords were thinking about a day night test next year that edgbaston are expecting to make a big loss in the game and want to have a day night game so they make money out of it and it improves ticket sales.

might be wrong but a lot of the talk of the day night games has been coming from Edgbaston corner after graves mentioned one day england will host a day night test.

Can't see it happening though not sure 12 months is enough for ECB to prepare for a day night test match.

I agree with you, I think the only way it would happen next summer is if they had played a couple of day/night tests before it. There had been talk of one in Bangladesh, but now that tour might not even happen.

Edgbaston would certainly be open to trying it more than some other grounds. (The issue with London is what time would you need to start to comply with the local authority regs, you're looking at 1:30pm at the latest) I wouldn't say though they are expecting to make a big loss from the test, but it would certainly be a less risk time to trial it than against the likes of Australia, India in the years to follow.
