The Super Smash starts this weekend but it seems without any UK TV coverage

Apparently there's no UK coverage of the Sheffield Shield, either.

Hardly surprising, it's never been covered in the UK and all the games take place in the middle of the night

BT using Vaughan & Swann for this meaningless ODI series. Impressive, thought we may just get the basic 9 coverage.

The app isn't using the 'enhanced player' for the ODI though which is a shame.

With a D/N test starting on the 15th it means BT will have six weeks of cricket at breakfast time giving them a bit more exposure. Big bash starts on the 20th.

Is there going to be studio presentation for the Big Bash? I say that because some of Australia V Pakistan highlights show clash with some of the Big Bash games so surely Greg can't do 2 games at once.

I'll be interested to see how they do it.Not that it = viewing figures but when on Sky players would get trending often on twitter. Wonder if it can still have the same impact now.

Sky's cricket coverage is alright except they often show England.

been confirmed but Sky not mentioned it or made it obvious which is sad to see.

quite sad Sky didn't mention it this morning and it came out in a cryptic way.
Holding is 62 and has been commentating for over 25 years, "soon" could easily be another year or two. I've seen nothing to suggest this is Holdings final test.
Why would Holding mention it twice that he will be leaving soon if he not leaving soon.
Holding wouldn't write about retirement unless he is actually retiring soon.
not sure what confirmation you are waiting for but it is likely Holding leaving after this summer.

Today sky talk is questionable evidence for him leaving but the article is quite clear that he retiring soon especially when you add in the interview 2 yrs ago when he said that when contract finish with sky he won't renew it.
So it is pretty obvious holding made his mind up about retirement.
Anyone who is 62 years of age is close to retiring. There's a difference between soon and imminent.
Again you are missing the point, why would anyone mention retirement if they are not retiring or leaving.
Because he's 62 years of age! How are you not getting that? He's been commentating 25 years and has been commentating for a lot longer than he will continue to commentate, therefore, he is close to retiring. That goes for anyone who is in their 60s, you are close to retiring, you will "soon" be retiring.

This may well end of being holdings last test but there is a lack of evidence so far .
that is hogwash considering he wrote in an article couple of days ago he is retiring that is pretty clear evidence that he is going.

Really people wouldn't say they are retiring unless they are actually retiring.
Not sure what point you are making since age has nothing to do with it.
As expected Michael Holding did not retire in the Summer and is currently commentating on the South Africa Sri Lanka Boxing Day test.
