Official Twitter and Lord Sugar's Twitter account were ON FIRE last night. So many gems.

In London people can be very cavalier towards property purchase
Surprising but true
It would all be for investment/buy to let anyway. It's another world..........

Although last night's episode was entertaining, it definitely felt set up. The people 'buying' the flats (especially Mrs 'my husband will kill me') must have been plants. Maybe they were people who'd already expressed an interest, had already spoken to the real sales staff and were funnelled on to the candidates to see whether they would have bought off them - but I don't think they were potential buyers who were there for the first time. Maybe the super-rich buy things of that value spur of the moment, but no way would the families and normal people.

Still, it was entertaining/silly...
- Spend over a million pounds please, but no we don't have any plans or a show flat for you - it'll be ok though because one of our 'only here for a day' sales staff's parents live in an apartment in New York, so she knows what it may or may not look like. Jam tarts anyone?
- Buy this flat, no idea what the layout will be - this could be the kitchen, actually no it may be the bathroom, no wait it's the hallway.
- Buy this flat, you'll never get any sleep because the sun shines through it's amazing windows all day and all night
- Randomly harass passersby on the street and see if they're thinking of spending over a quarter of a million pounds on a flat, now. It was like Scott on the escalator in the Arndale Centre all over again (only with less abuse).

Scott departure was a bit of a flounce. It was rather immature the way he stormed off with his case, not even saying goodbye to the other candidates, like a little kid throwing a tantrum, taking his ball and going home. So LS (and the others) picked on him - of course they did, it's The Apprentice, it's what happens to candidates every year. LS was right, he was rubbish this week (just as he was in the discount sales week) and if his team had lost he no doubt would have been fired. LS has told candidates this in the past - that they've had a lucky escape and had better up their game, he wasn't being singled out.
It was a shame because in earlier weeks he'd been one of the better and more likeable candidates, and he did come across well on YF.

And the firing, I don't really need to say it was the right choice. Selina is delusional. She projects her own failings on to everyone else. No one would want her as a business partner. It's almost like her only reason for being on the show was self promotion

I can't decide whether Karren really is more negative this series or not, She does seem to stick her nose in more during tasks though (price reductions, chocolate cake, number of windows, company name) and I don't remember her taking against candidates in the past like she has this series. Then again, maybe she's always done that and it's just the edit is different this series, Whatever it is, I don't like it - she's just coming across as nasty. Perhaps she thought with Claude taking over from Nick she'd better up the ante, but he's not nasty at all as an advisor. He's actually coming across as fair and a good bloke who you wouldn't mind working for,

Joseph is definitely rocking that Private Walker look! (Not sure it's such a good one for the world of big business though!)

I think the thing with Karen butting in on Bret's pitch last night was due to the fact he was showing them a view they wouldn't get. Brett then made it worse by saying "well it'll be the same view from the fourth window" and it clearly wasn't, it was a view of a wall!!

Maybe in this series more than others, the candidates have made massive errors and Karen has felt the need to step in.

I personally think Scott has been poor right the way through, he's managed it because he was on the winning team and his errors were mainly overlooked. But as soon as he was PM/Sub Team leader and less candidates in the process his errors are less overlooked.

Joseph doesn't realise that he comes across more as a street trader than a businessman.

Joseph looks like George Cole when he was playing Flash Harry in the St. Trinian's films.

One thing i did notice was Vana walked in to one of the buildings bare legged and walked out in black tights...the continuity person needs sacking

Realistically its amazing anyone made any sales really as 300k's a lot of readies so in some ways the thing must be a setup but i did see cards going into machines so i wonder if they were people who had already agreed to buy and just finished off the transaction for the teams?

A shame for Sam that this task wasn't earlier in the series, as with his accent and charm he would have been PERFECT for selling high end property!

I would agree that Karren has had to step in because of massive errors, which are (to my mind) actually legal issues. Remember in the discount shop episode when one of the teams had a 'was - now' sticker and she had to point out that you can only put a 'was' price if the item had been on sale for 28(?) days previously? Same thing with the view from the windows, and the name of the firm (Galliard) and not how someone pronounced it (Gillard?) You can't say 'this is your view' if it isn't going to be, nor can you give an incorrect name for a company.

I'm not sure why Lord Sugar bothers to turn up in the boardroom.

He might just as well say, 'Karren, Who's my apprentice this year?'

She really rams home her views.

Richard, who got the property developers name wrong, is glossed over, as if it is an endearing faux pas. If Scott had done the same it would have been both barrels.

Because Richard has been pretty good throughout the series, where as Scott hasn't

Very true, sadly. It looked like most of the people buying the mid-range flats were probably buy-to-letters, and the ones buying the high-price ones likely buy-to-leavers.

Nick was much better at staying neutral. He was very fair, I miss his objectivity.

Karen just sticks the boot in.
