I wasn't keen at the beginning for the same reasons, but like you I've changed my mind. How on earth she got through that horrific task is beyond me.
I now wouldn't mind at all if she won. Brave girl.
I thought it was a great trial, after some fairly uneventful ones, and she did brilliantly. She didn't overdo the histrionics and she was very brave. I think staying put with things on you in the dark would be worse than moving through horrible things. I'm very impressed by her.
She was amazing in that trial, it was hugely impressive. How she stayed in there while that snake coiled itself around her neck I'll never know.
She deserves the win now. Plus we get the added bonus of not seeing the insufferable Geordie bag it

I haven't been watching this but my daughter "encouraged" me to watch it tonight. My statement after Ferne did the challenge was "she should win based on just that trial".
She did a great job on that trial, especially with the big one that went round her neck.
It was a shame Tony interrupted her telling them all about her achievement, by announcing to her that Lady C had left. That could have waited and felt rather disrespectful to me, as though he was only interested in how many stars she had won for them all.
Hopefully she had a chance to say her piece eventually.

I'm sure she told them eventually. There are 24 long hours in a day and they must have run out of things to talk about. Just because we didn't see it - it doesn't mean she didn't tell them.
Hated the new three and was about to boycott the show, but glad I stuck with it..Think I've fallen in love with Ferne.

I really did feel her fear - somehow it made it all the more impressive - she was quite clearly terrified.
I have an enormous amount of respect for Ferne after that!
Apart from the length of time she was in the trial, I wonder how long it took for them to get her out after it had finished - still with the snakes in there.

Yes, I'm sure she did, but I just think when a fellow camp member has just won the entire camp food from a difficult task, and that person wants to debrief afterwards, they should be allowed that courtesy before moving on to another topic of conversation.
The thing I've noticed about Ferne is that despite the fact at that the trials have clearly terrified her, she has actually just got on with them. She is petrified of snakes and yet has had to deal with them in all of her trials. Actually I would say she's taken part in the toughest trials all series.

That comment was sweet! Awww.
She does deserve the win after that. I was guilty of pre judging her too but she has really grown on me, she seems so much more natural than Vicky. I felt sorry for her when she went back to camp excited by her win and should have had all the attention focussed on her like everyone else has had, her little bubble was burst by Tony's announcement about Lady C. He should have just waited until Ferne had a chance to describe her trial but all he was interested in was the food.
