OK I cannot see how that works at all.”

Maybe it was the other way round.... some found her funny and entertaining, while others who didnt wanted to shine more themselves and couldnt with her around...

Sorry, but she also had a pop at Verne for daring to express an opinion; along the lines of, "I am 66 & you are 26, so your opinion is irrelevant." (paraphrasing).

Once cowed, she then proceeded with the whispering campaign against anyone she didn't like, telling Verne how Tony, Duncan, Jorgie & Yvette had been unhappy at the idea of scripted reality show stars joining the camp & how none of them were to be trusted.

She is in no manner whatsoever the poor, put upon & bullied individual she & many others would have us believe and was just as capable of stirring up discord within the groups as any of the other celebrities, if not more so.

Exacty that - paraphrasing.

And if that was the worst she said to Ferne then it was hardly a pop and neither held it against each other.

I dont get this argument but I can see that the Cult of C has you in its grasp. I dont think Tony and in particular Duncan had any ambition to shine as you put it. I think Duncan would have liked a quick in and out thanks for the cheque send it to the charity we discussed. However Lady C has a personality you cannot ignore no matter how hard you try so hence they clashed

Not in any cult... or a follower of any sort.. I do things my own way I know Lady C isnt perfect, far from it at times, but I understood her when she took the stand and was angry as she thought she was being perceived as lazy in there.. she was furious and never got over it , as she was anything but lazy and I think would have made a great camp mate and done many tasks... she felt belittled and when I started feeling for her...so nothing to do with being some kind of foolish follower on here, christ the show will be over in a few days and all forgotten, and why I try to make light of a lot of stuff on here.. we should be having a laugh as the contestants will be... They wont care what we think of them , their in there to be noticed and make money..

You do understand that someone had to be labelled the laziest. She did her trials but not much around camp so I can see why when faced with having to sort it out both Tony and Chris went that way.
As for the bit about having a laugh I agree but you continually post about how awful some celebs in there are and how you want them out, you cannot have it both ways.

I can understand that you want to support LCC but if you continually knock other contestants dont be surprised when you or LCC get a bit back

They should have put Perez Hilton in, now that would have been interesting
It's a good point though that without Tony Duncan and Lady C, the show would have been pretty dull.

It seems to me the Anti-LadyC posters have a cult going on of their own. There's been loads of foaming at the mouth posts and name calling - even comparng her with Hitler!

I think Jane Austen's Mr Bennet said it right "For what do we live but to make sport for our neighbours, and laugh at them in our turn.

I don't think it would have been, but then I like the camp to be harmonious! Regardless, we'll never know what it would have been like.

So Lady C quits / pushed and gets her fee and has sold her story to the tabloids (very classy Lady C) and thats fine.
Duncan is donating his fee to charity but is a horrible bully.

Is this how society in Great Britain is going?

Wish you would stop with the hyperbole. Just because someone asks you to explain yourself doesn't make them angry or evil.

The younger ones laughed with her even when they disagreed with what was coming from her mouth so im guessing they didnt want to be on the receiving end

I don't know about scared but I think they see the camp and it's running as their preserve, and that they know best about it, even though we've seen that they don't. They can wear most other people down with their picking (as Ferne said to Duncan, "You pick, pick, pick...") but Lady C wasn't having it and the fact she answered back, stood her ground and, worse, was usually right, really pissed them off.

I wonder if Duncan's gf has yet had the pleasure of being woken abruptly with a pan in her face and him saying, "Get up and wash this ****ing thing properly!"

I don't think Tony or Duncan stood up to her. They provoked and undermined her a lot.

I think Vicki, Kieron and Chris stood up to her and let her know when she had gone to far. You can do that without provoking an argument or isolating the person.

They were hardly scared. They were the ones who started her off most of the time.

The whispering that they took offence to made me laugh. It was ok though for the pair to bitch about her and make anecdotes of an insulting nature. Its obviously not rude to wake Fearne up tho and wave a pan in her face. Their definition of rude and self-obsession needs to be revisited but they are too long in the tooth now to change as is C. It's the double standards that makes for some great irony

Well going from what the younger ones have said especially those who have left they were only "friends" with her for their own protection, she gravitated to them because they were less likely to give back what she likes to hand out she's nothing but a nasty old woman and certainly no lady she has about much class as a knock of designer handbag

Sorry for the delay in replying, Virgin Media fell over in the local area just after your response was posted.

Yes, I was paraphrasing as I wasn't going to go bank approximately a week & get the exact quote, when it was possible to present the gist of her comment without doing so.

Whilst not exactly in the same league as the insults when was flinging at other campmates, the remark fits in well with other statements she has made, to the effect that other's opinions don't count, either due to her having an IQ of 154 or because of her exalted/grand social position (she then had the temerity to state that the Brits are obsessed with class, after exiting the camp).

I'm afraid that age & wisdom do not automatically go together; my old Staff Sergeant, who wasn't far off retirement, was too dim to see that t wasn't that clever an idea to state that women should be chained to the sink & only released to have babes, when virtually all of his detachment was composed of female soldiers.

Nor are a high IQ and an elevated status within wider society entitle you to automatically assume that the views of others are of no value, when compared to your own & that everyone else should therefore keep their mouths shut & do as they are told.

The younger ones are still in there???? I've only heard one person say he was scared of her and that's Bri. Chris respected her and the other two younger ones, if you mean them, we're just as capable of being bitches
