Hi,
I wondered if anyone could offer me a spot of advice on buying a new mobile phone handset?
I am looking for a mobile phone whose screen can be dimmed very very low so that it is as dark as a kindle like this: http://www.xbitlabs.com/images/news/...rs_spt2011.jpg
I get on just fine with the old style CCFL backlit screens but find that LED backlit screens cause me a lot of eye problems. I'm not sure if it is the brightness or the flicker that is the problem, but I am aware of all the physics and the research that's going on.
It seems to me that by now someone must be getting close to making these LED screens properly dimmable, but I find it hard to test the actual handsets because the screens are too bright for me even to test briefly.
I wondered if anyone might know if a new style handset has been made yet that solves this problem?
Thanks!
