Again, I think people are forgetting how good Colin Jackson was - his QS was technically in a different league in content and execution to Jay. Jay's ballroom is good, and improving, but he is noticeably less proficient in hold, where his frame and footwork fluctuates. Although I much prefer to watch Jay, I don't think he's even as technically good as Ricky Whittle, Matt Baker or Tom Chambers (although I can't bring myself to watch Tom again to check my recollections!)

My favourite dance of Natalie's is the Charleston, lost count the amount of times I've watched it

It's weird, I think her Charleston is the only one of her dances I didn't like. It started off well, but I just thought most of it looked a bit laboured, and she seemed quite heavy in the lift.

The thing is...... Vincent choreographed start to finish dancing of the dance they were supposed to be dancing. Vincent also taught Rachel the correct technique and she was very good at learning technique.

So I rate Rachel's portfolio of dances as the best collection overall, ever on Strictly - even though there have been a few better dancers than Rachel.

I've just had a look at most of her dances on Youtube, heavens I'd forgotten how truly wonderful she was. How on earth did she not win. I loved all her dances but the rumba was awesome and the cha cha are probably my favourites but only by a minute margin.

Didn't she have the best music and her dresses were to die for. She was lovely and smiley too, she is exquisite.

Rumba and showdance were my faves (and I usually loathe showdances)!

Yes, I loved her showdance too. I can't remember her ever making a mistake.

Not sure. I remember in her Salsa, thinking that there was an error after the succession of underarm turns. She looked to be facing the wrong way, then Artem quickly righted her for the finish. Maybe it was choreographed that way, but it looked a little clumsy to me.

Neither can I. Although I remember she slipped very, very, very slightly in her showdance. She probably forgot to employ every dancer's number one trick of the trade: soda (preferably Pepsi) on the soles of your shoes!

Yep that series brings back some great memories and I still have the scars to prove it from on here as I am sure you have.

All praise to Alionia for getting the best out of Jay ,

also maybe the best dance couple ever to grace the dance floor , they are like a unstoppable machine, who can possibly stop them this year ?

”

Most technical male dancer for sure, most technical dancer ever, Natalie Gumede.

At this point the only important thing is that there is a male in the final stages . He qualifies there .
Regardless of how he dances he will be in the final and probably win if he smiles again and looks like a little lost lamb .

They were a wonderful partnership, I absolutely massively rate them. I've watched their dances over and over and over again.

I think he is the popular with the public but im not sure if he was in the dance off the judges would save him.

Yes, I agree. Their show dance was a stinker but Vincent otherwise put together his best run of dances for her and she was a very under-rated dancer. Including by me, at the time. It was a singularly unfortunate series that year; the judges' shenanigans in trying to massage both her and Snowden into the final ended up making a lot of people vote for Tom Chambers (a good technical dancer himself) after Austin was robbed in protest! In retrospect Rachel should have won.

I think unless he is up against Georgia he'll be ok. That would be a difficult choice imo.

Georgia and Jay are miles ahead on the Odds to win with Jay just ahead of Georgia.

She didn't win because she got labelled as a ringer . Yet Jay is the ringiest ringer ever on SCD and he get's away with it and will no doubt win .
