Watching Jays dancing technique closely on Saturday there is no denying that his intensive pre show training has helped him to become a technically very proficient dancer, but one can't help but notice a certain stiff plank like rigidness to his dancing technique which reminded me of Jake in his year. They are both stage performers so perhaps they share a common reason for this characteristic, but I can't work out what it is ?

Can you remember any other celebrities that had a stiff dancing technique ?”

yeah I noticed how stiff he was in the jive a few weeks back too. And as for that awful paso, AT, salsa, etc etc etc you might just have a point mate.
ps,.... did you know Specsavers are doing a ' 2 for 1' deal next week??

Well it's your money to do as you please and it will have no affect on me , so go for it .
But seems a waste of pennies when he is being wedged into the final anyway , whether he fits or not .

That's an odd thing on forums . Some assume that an opinion that differs from theirs is strange , when in reality it is simply different and not in the least strange .
It's a shame that other dancers are being massively overlooked and often undermarked in the rush to crown a male winner or at least have one in the final .

At first I found your posts to be annoyingly biased. I then decided they were slightly irritating, but now I find them hilariously ridiculous!

No. That's not it at all. Generally. I don't think that opinions that differ from mine are strange. I do find your really very, very obvious dislike of Jay strange though. That appears to be blinkering your view on his dancing. And how utterly fantastic he is.

Other dancers are not being massively overlooked. Again, that comes down to your own personal view, and your intense dislike of Jay McGuiness. And the BBC couldn't give a hoot if the winner is male or female. It's s plastic glitterball.

The scoring has been strange this season. How else could Peter Andre have been top of the leader board on several occasions? One of the great Strictly mysteries of our time.

You can read into the post whatever way you like. Whatever floats your boat.

The pot and kettle bit? Well I can't stand Peter Andre. I think he's insincere, fake, greedy, sly, disingenuous and talentless. I thought this long before he appeared on Strictly. He also can't dance. Jay, for me, is none of those things. And he can actually dance.

When an 'opinion' flies so obviously in the face of experts' opinion the logical conclusion is that it's personal...and I find it impossible to take anyone seriously who bangs on about how sincere and talented Andre is, when he's the most inauthentic person to appear on the screen for quite some time.

The only stiff around here is the item hogging returning Muppet who lacks dance knowledge but persists in. Ego tripping

yeah we know. and heather doesn't like jay. each opinion is as equally un/justifiable as the other. no-one here has any high ground.

Im certainly not on any high ground.

If Peter Andre had been a good dancer, as much as I dislike him, I would have accepted that.

I feel Heatherbells intense dislike of Jay as a person ( it's mentioned in nearly every post, he is a 'crawler' 'wormed' his way into Janettes birthday party, as opposed to just being invited) interferes with her views on his actual dancing. Heatherbell may not agree, but it's what I get when I read her posts.

Peter Andres dancing was rubbish. It's really that simple. For me, anyway. And that's my opinion.

i know its your opinion, but you seem to be asserting it as if it were fact.

he wasn't great but he certainly wasn't rubbish, and was in a strong field. he scored well for his charleston which was by any standards a good dance.

on the opposite side, whilst jay is clearly a skilled technician, he has also made mistakes and failed to connect with the deeper/emotional layers of the dance.

there isn't a right or wrong here.

Nope. Everything I post is always just my opinion. I'm not bothered if someone thinks PA is a great dancer. I know he's not

I accept Jay has made mistakes, never have suggested otherwise. They all have! I don't agree about the emotional layers of the dance. His face has suited the slow, sultry and moody numbers he has danced to. And has been said many times before, I'm one of the people who is not a fan of the gurn, on any of the dancers.

I think Peter Andre's dancing was in general, of a poor standard. It makes absolutely no sense to me that he topped the leader board several times. The Charleston was his best by far, and even that was just ok. For me 4 X 8 would have been more appropriate.

Anyway, think I'll leave it there. Getting excited about tonight's show! I'm sure Jay will nail it! 😊

There always seemed to be a "oversell" of his abilities for some reason. The reality did not live up to the hype.

Tbh I like Jay, though he's not my fave, but I just find him overrated online. People seem to watch him through rose tinted specks. He can do no wrong. I don't know why he is thought as superior to everyone else because I see him making just as many mistakes, if not more, than others. It's sad that it has to be like that, because it's really not his fault. If it had been anyone else then I would feel the same way. I just don't like predictable winners I guess, and I can admit when my fave, Georgia, has made mistakes and hasn't done so well. Just wish more could do the same. I usually make comments about Jay out of annoyance of fans, but not him personally. I just think he is a bit overrated, but seems like a nice guy.

^ Loathe tho' I am to get personal, I think that might be your issue, Terry. Getting aroused easily is likely to affect your judgement.

Maybe try popping a pack of frozen peas on your lap while watching?
