I have never seen a less creepy contestant than Jay, he is an immensely likeable, genuine young man who doesn't need to emote all over the place, with a fixed grin in his face to get his interpretation of the dance across.

It is ironic that with all the faults that his critics point out with monotonous regularity, he still has the LARGEST following of ALL ages, and of both sexes.

Amazing that with all this "lack of emotion" he can attract such a large following of all ages of either sex. ”

Absolutely! Just a nice guy who doesn't gurn just because others think he should.

Although I am obviously a big fan of Jay, I didn't mean to repeat myself.

I thought that the first message hadn't registered.

I was so mad about the message that I was replying to, that I didn't check my spelling before sending it.

Haha Walt...I get like that! I do not understand the hate for a lovely, gentle guy who keeps his feet on the ground. I only wish they were jiving tonight

Also if he's not a natural dancer then you have to admire what must be hard work and dedication to have what is near universally accepted as an great level of technical skill.”

Given to hyperbole then, the universe.

I think a lot of people misunderstand Jay. He seems like an introvert to me. That would explain why he struggles to articulate himself on the spur of the moment and can't always deliver the 'personality' the judges want.

In short, he doesn't have Kellie's talent for gurning that stares into your soul.

For myself, I say "Thank f***!"

Aliona is quite similar, which is why I think they make such a great pairing. I'm pretty introverted myself, perhaps that's one of the reasons I've always liked Aliona and have taken to Jay this series.
