Start by reading the "Hell bent" thread created by david_Robinson. Take a look at the "Hell Bent" thread created by alexjones50 after.

just what we need...
another thread.
.. maybe ask this question in one of said threads.... god knows there are enough of them to chose from without having to create another one.

They are the terrorist threads that they keep going on about on the news, I assume.

Personally speaking, I think anyone with an official opinion should be officially allowed to start official threads.

However should you have an unofficial opinion, then officially your unofficial opinion should not be counted as official unless it officially verified by the official moderator.

Unless the official moderator has not been officially licenced themselves then all unofficial opinions will therefore stay officially unofficial.

This!

Why start a pointless thread to whine about pointless threads? That would be pointless pointlessness.

Why pointless whine about a pointless thread about out pointless threads?? At least I can identify this thread amongst the garbage that has popped up (fun though it is).

Just report the threads to the mods by sending am alert. They'll look into it and use their judgement.

I know this is (another!) not entirely serious thread...

But this has already been discussed, and a poll taken. Would be helpful to refer back to that thread.

Erm, because as a general rule in life I don't go 'running to teacher' every time I see something that I don't like? It's not a moderation issue, as far as I can see, and so there's no reason to report Brandon for anything. If I have an opinion to offer him, I can do that all by myself. Which I did.

It's not about 'running to teacher' at all, and if you could reread my post you will see that it is in defense of this thread and that the last part was aimed at Brandon and in regards to the multiple threads running riot at the moment.

I am fully aware of how the forum works in terms of forum etiquette and ds guidelines, having been a member this long and when the mods are alerted to something that doesn't need changing they won't change it. However, these episode threads are getting very out of hand and the mods havery said that there is an issue there.

Also, the mods are hardly "teacher". They are human beings just like us and keep this place running. Also Andy was cool.

Oh yes you are right. They did intervene in this issue to have a go at the members of this forum for not solving the issue of episode threads DESPITE the fact Doctor Blue Box clearly set up a poll which they ignored like the rest of the forum did. And utterly failed to acknowledge that forum users are ultimately powerless. And now here we are all these weeks later in Episode Thread Chaos. If you have a problem with that then anyone who does should contact DoctorBlueBox, get on bended knees and offer their profuse apologies for ignoring his best efforts to solve a minor problem in a reasonable and adult way before it escalated. Bit late to complain now it has when so many treated his poll and my efforts with derision and battle cries of 'People do what they want! Forum police!'. Just trying to be helpful was all.

Now we are responding in the best way- by making a massive joke out of the whole thing. Because thas what it is. None of it ultimately matters. Its just dicking around on a forum and I'm sure the Mods will see the humour in it.

This has probably already been suggested, but can you not set up a full schedule of official episode thread starters (and seconds) before the series starts, and specify what day they are to be started on?

So episode 1 will be done by salad fingers on Wednesday, if for some reason he hasn't done it by 8pm then Milford cubicle will do it.

I dont wanna be starting no episode threads. I cant handle that kinda pressure. And I wouldnt trust Milford Cubicle. That guy will never put the poll up on time.
Apart from that a good call.

AFAIK this is what they do in the soaps forum and more often than not it works very well, considering how.many episode threads need to be created each day.

I think this is what the mods had in mind. And salad I found the threads hilarious but it is getting a little OTT now :/

I suppose we could draw up some sort of rota, not that it matters until the next series.

“Those who seek power are not worthy of that power.”

In other words only give power to those who do not seek it. Therefore I nominate you to have power over the episode threads precisely because you do not desire it.

The only other option I can see is if everyone agrees to only acknowledge threads by someone specific. This would inevitably fall apart though. Oh well at least this issue will be gone for a while. But hopefully not too long.

I don't really understand the appeal of being the one to start an official episode myself. It's not like anybody else really notices, anyway, they're more concerned with the episode/thread in question than addressing the one who started it.

This week, several internet posters moan over minor things and get upset with each other. Who will win?
