Well, I liked it, you negative lot. The Old Man, Doctor Who, was quite intriguing, despite the ridiculously long hair, and it was nice to see a youngster in this genre who wasn't always screaming and tripping over her ankle. Yeah, I can see this running for a series or two. If there was a poll I'd probably vote 'Jolly Good', although too early to see if it reaches the 'Spiffing' level.

For myself, I rather liked the new televisual drama on the BBC. I was slightly disappointed that the policeman wasn't seen anymore after the opening sequence. I love a good Police serial like Dixon Of Dock Green, and having one of our Boys In Blue in the serial would see that there's no funny business going on.

The old man needs a haircut though. He looks like that awful Disc Jockey who plays those tuneless records by the Beatles on the wireless. The young man is better, smart short hair. Much more trustworthy.

The episode ended strangely. The Box appears to have moved, it's probably Barnes Common or somewhere like that.

I said long ago that getting rid of the Empire was a huge mistake, and this disgrace is exactly what happens when we allow Canadians, Australians and Indians to try and produce British television programmes. I am sure if you are from a country where the highest form of technology is a bent throwing stick you dream up all kinds of fanciful notions to pass the time, but there should be no place for it in my television parlour.

I don't get it? Why does that man call himself a doctor, what's he a doctor of? Why does he travel in a phone box? How comes it looks so big on the inside, obvious continuity error there. I really hate it when TV programmes leave things hanging like that, trying to get you interested in watching further episodes to find out.

hmm not sure if I liked it ..this main character the "Doctor" seems to be the Hero I mean what happens if he doesn't want to do the show anymore or gets ill ...how will the show continue ?

I mean how will anyone be able to accept a different actor in the role and how will the writers make sense of it?

Just typical of the BBC to force their liberal agenda by portraying a woman travelling unchaperoned with 2 men. I'm not against women being independent, some of my best friends are spinsters, but why do we have to have it pushed in our face constantly?

So, did any of that actually happen or did the old man use some sort of drug on the two school teachers? If so, what did he do with them? And what is Susan's role in all of this? Personally, I think it's on too early.

But surely the BBC wouldn't move it so it's on too late for the kiddies to watch and then shift it around anyway to a different time every week so people never knew when to find it. The BBC would never be that stupid, would they?

I was shocked by this. This is not what I expect from the BBC. The sleeping arrangements in the Police Box were not shown, so I shall imagine the worst. The very worst. Frequently. Especially as that Ian character is indeed hot.

I have a friend who works at the BBC and he says they're introducing some sort of machine in a few weeks time that has a whisk and a sink plunger at the front.

I am guessing we get to see Susan and Barbara in the kitchen in the Police Box, using the whisk to make a cake (drugs again!).

While the sink plunger gets used by the Doctor and Ian to unblock the drains.
