After about 5 minutes of the old tuning signal, DLF TXs are now switched off.

Yes - 1440 went off at 2259 exactly. The French are a lot more 'laid back' with their timings though!

711 from Rennes is also still on air broadcasting the same French programme as Lyon on 603.

Looking at the 24hr waterfall from the Twente server most of the Radio France TXs went off air around 0015 UTC (0115 local).

711 still on air from Rennes putting its normal good daytime signal into the Bristol/Bath area. I suspect this will go off air the same time as 603 from Lyon on 04/01/2016.

Are these going off for good on the 4th?

Yes - they got a stay of execution due to a long standing reigious broadcast this coming Sunday which I believe is produced by a volunteer charity group. Would have been bad form to stop it this year without the chance for them to celebrate their last event (this time last year the closures had not been announced).

But they will go off permanently after Sunday.

Haven't really listened to MW for ages but this prompted me. Surprised how in this corner of the south-east it really is packed with UK stations, all the London stations come in. Strongest is probably RTBFi on 621.

Presume is an opt out of the FM programming? Next year may have to go digital only.

Also noticed there is no FM service for France Blue in Strasburg, so will have to go internet only, but RNT DAB+ licences are being advertised in Strasburg this month so wonder if Radio France Blue will finally go on DAB+?

When I get a chance after the weekend I'm also going to give AM a good scan too and see what it's sounding like with all these Tx's now shut down. I bet the French and German anoraks are loving listening to Smooth (AM) and Bauer Place 2 stations

I believe there is a difference between France Bleu Alsace (French language) which remains on FM, and France Bleu Elsass (Alsatian language) which no longer has an RF outlet.

https://www.francebleu.fr/alsace
https://www.francebleu.fr/elsass

So that's probably what you are missing?

From the Radio France list

Any idea?

As above I think the FM service is in French (France Bleu Alsace) and the former AM service (France Bleu Elsass) is in Alsatian. The latter is now online only.
