I rather fancy all their accents, I'd just like to know what strange lingo Vicky use, why Ferne says fought instead of thought. Jno wa I mean? What about Duncan's articulateness? And the others?

I was surprised when Kieron said he was an Ipswich boy, he hasn't got an Ipswich accent at all.

Vicky is from Newcastle so speaks with a Geordie accent, Ferne is from Essex so speaks with a Essex accent and Duncan is Scottish so speaks with a Scottish accent.

There are many Scottish accents, he speaks with a Glasgow area accent.

Duly noted, I also didn't mention the town or city that Ferne comes from in Essex do you think I should have done?

Saying Duncan has a Scottish accent is like saying Ferne has an English accent. There are countless different accents in the UK. The Glasgow and Aberdeen accents are as similar as the Geordie and Essex accents.

Fair enough as I said duly noted no need to get into a long and drawn out pointless argument just because we can so let's move on.

BIB: I do this as well with most of my 'th's. I don't think it's to do with accents although it does seem to be more prevalent in the south of England (Ferne is from Essex, I'm from Southampton.)

I think it's more to do with not being corrected as a child and never learning the difference between the two, as they sound similar, and then not being able to shake the habit as you get older.

I do too, my husband drives me mad correcting me all the time, and we are both from the same place.

Anyway onto the accents of other campmates, Jorgi is from Manchester but since she doesn't speak much except for child like babble and squeaks it's a job to hear what her accent is like.

I didn't realise that and I've lived in Manchester, I have hardly heard her utter a word.

It's horrible when people correct me now, I feel so insecure about it! I was a teacher for about five years and that was the first time someone properly pointed it out to me, when someone was observing me in one of my first lessons. She was pretty unsympathetic and told me I was setting a bad example for the children, which I'm sure I was, but before that I genuinely hadn't even thought about it before.

Well she does like to go out on the lash and get into fights so maybe she has had a few teeth knocked out so has had to have a set of falsies made.
