I've been listening to a lot of albums from various points in time recently, just wondering if people wanted to share their 3 favourite albums?

I suppose like most people mine would change day to day

If it was rephrased as 'pick 3 albums to take the desert island if you were going today' then right now I'd pick.......

The Beatles - Hard Days Night - to remind me of my youth and let me wallow in nostalgia and reminiscences

Mahler - 8th Symphony - huge sprawling masterpiece which lasts 90 minutes and you could listen to it every day,

Miles Davis - Kind of Blue - my latest exercise is to try and understand jazz and this is widely thought of as the best jazz album ever and it's great......but I must have the more recent reissue with the bonus track 'alternate take of Flamenco Sketches'

Blimey - only 3! I couldn't really narrow it down to 10 or 20. However, off the top of my head and it will change if you ask me in another couple of days

Led Zeppelin 4
Foxtrot by Genesis
Liege and Lief by Fairport Convention

The first two are easy, Portishead Dummy, and Massive Attack Collected. I honestly can't think of a third, as it varies daily.

The Cardigans - Super Extra Gravity
Marion - This World and Body

I can name those two easily but to name a third is pushing things just a little too far, because it changes frequently.

At the moment I'd nominate Catherine Wheel - Ferment, but it will probably be a different album by tomorrow.

The three albums I never tire of listening to so I guess that could be the criteria

Deacon Blue - Raintown

The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses

Sugar - Copper Blue

Its funny a download or stream can never be my favourite album, its always one of my records.
