This thread does what it says on the tin, a place to discuss future episodes and maybe come up with a few crazy (or not so crazy) fan theories! Also should the whole "early episode thread" thing come to an end (by mods ornotherwise) then here is an alternative for that discussion prior to the episode thread being put up.

Spoilers will be defined as anything NOT officially revealed in BBC publicity, promotional material, interviews etc. That stuff is fine, but if you think the information may still be sensitive nonetheless, I trust that you can use spoiler tags

Hell Bent is but a day away folks, and I personally cannot wait!

I like non-spoiler speculation threads but I find I can't use them as people often pretend they're just speculating when in fact they have access to spoiler information and are just winding up those who avoid such information. It's all done very innocently and "what are the odds?!" but it's actually worse than just spoilering!

Of that happens I would tell the mods, simple. I thought it was worth a go, as gb has a very well policed non spoiler sub forum so I thought I'd give a thread here a go

Not sure how this would work without agreeing on, as a rule for this thread, what a spoiler is.

People here have varying thresholds for spoilers. Some feel that knowing what colour the opening sequence is would be a spoiler, while others feel that anything in the public domain that has bee released by the BBC is not a spoiler - up to and including releases of special guest stars and character names that can give the game away.

Probably best to sort that out first.

But how can you tell?

I could speculate that the Doctor will regenerate into Pauline Quirke tomorrow night but really, I've read a spoiler that reveals this online. No one else in the speculation thread thinks it's likely as they don't see such spoilers and we have a chuckle about it, but deep down, my villainous side knows that I've secretly ruined the episode for you all... Afterwards, it's tricky to prove I knew for sure, especially with something so outlandish...

To be honest it's down to mutual trust. There is a dedicated spoiler thread already and also members who don't want to see those spoilers. Even if someone villainous were to post a true spoiler on here (the swine!), if people chuckled about it as you suggest then the show wouldn't be 100% ruined; the element of surprise would still be maintained to a degree.

As I have said on other threads it is down to us to be responsible and mature posters. Things seem to have changed in recent years here. A couple of years ago (funnily enough when the Whoonie Inn was at its peak), creating a thread like this would possibly have been met with more positivity, the idea of villainous spoiler goblins ruining the episode for everyone was much less of a worry (in fact as I recall, I was pretty much the only one doing that in the inn itself, to the annoyance of the residents, causing me to create the spoiler thread... But I digress)

Missy and the Daleks are in league together (her method of escaping them since the first episodes). She is fooling the Doctor and the timelords and tries to end both of them using the Daleks. Meanwhile Ashildr somehow is going to save the day and make amends.

Oh, and we find out the connection between Timelords and Weeping Angels .....

I haven't read any spoiler threads, websites etc, but I have watched the BBC trailers
