Awwwww - lovely wedding song.

Tony gets a lot of stick on here - much of it extremely unjustified IMO.

Love this

Yes, I never appreciated Queen at the time. I had my kids in the 80s (I was an older mum) so I wasn't into a lot of music at that time. My teenage years were the 60s and Dylan was massive, he wrote some great songs.

I think the Kinks were probably my favourites, I was in love with Ray Davies. My pals went to see The Stones, we were still at school, they met them backstage.

Sorry about off topic folks.

Never understood or liked Dylan at all..thought he was much more hippy style... loved Roy Orbison, what a voice, none like it....saw him live in Glasgow with the Walker Brothers, but couldnt hear a thing for screams. was a waste of time the artist even trying to sing...

At least it wasn't "Every Breath You Take". When Sting heard how many couples opted for it as their wedding song, he commented that there are some pretty weird people out there

I was never a big fan of Spandau Ballet, though I did credit Tony Hadley with having a belting voice; Through the Barricades was probably the song that best showed off his vocal talents.

With regard to Ferne & her desire to appear in Downton Abbey, I've noticed that she seems to be playing more the part of a terribly nice but dim individual lately. I'm pretty certain that this is in large measure an act as, even though she's never appeared to be the sharpest pin in the box, she wasn't quite as slow on the uptake as she seems to be now, when she first entered the camp.

My friends at the time were a bit hippy to be fair. My hubby has a Roy Orbison tape which he plays in the car.

I'm not sure Ferne is playing, I think they are all a bit mentally exhausted. Or a lot if you are Jorgie, who seems to be on the verge of an asthma attack and without coherent thought for the last week or so.

I wonder if David Attenborough is worried now that Tony 'I love lizards an' crocodiles an' that, I love all the animals' Hadley has expressed an interest in presenting a wildlife programme?

I was indifferent to TH prior to IAC, not my musical taste, but thought he was an ok bloke. He really has excelled in showing just how lumpen and limited he is.

I love them all, especially might as well rain until September.

Mamas and Papas, Beach Boys and the absolutely phenomenal Dusty Springfield, I could go on forever. I also loved the Phil Spector Sound.

I thought they sang the chorus to Gold? There can't be many people who don't know that song.

I'm about to turn green and burst out of my clothes. How very dare you (even in jest) mention Bryan Ferry's name in the same post as the singer from Spandau Ballet Did you see BF this year? He was fabulous and TH would have been lucky to be asked to be a roadie, quite frankly

Sorry I've gone all sentimental and stupid.

That's the thing - I didn't watch any of last year's. Got sucked in this year by Chris Eubank.
