IAC was traditional the show where the older celeb from years ago did well Blackburn, biggins , Pasquale etc.

However it's not happened for them this year, has the vote for this type of celeb dissapeared or just been squashed by the reality vote.

I think Lady C would have finished 4th or so, but overall they were a poor bunch this time around.

The first time I was aware of how powerful the reality vote was, was when Charlotte Crosby? won CBB.

It's because ITV are pushing the z list reality show stars more and more every year.

I wonder if reality ' stars' cheaper to get on the show and as the tv company is owned by the same man who owns lots of the celeb magazines he can look forward to printing loads of daft stories about them.

Sadly, the show revived the career of Christopher Biggins. He was considered a joke before, now he appears on umpteen shows on all channels.

It depends. Jovial, upbeat older characters still do very well a.k.a Biggins. Tony, Duncan and Lady C were all far too negative to win whereas Susannah and Yvette were too bland.

I think it was just the personalities not being right this year, although I was wondering if the free vote would help people like George with a young fan-base. Tweens parents might not let them phone vote but now they can use the free vote.

Ultimately I just think no one was nice enough in the older mates. I found LC entertaining and I feel like if she been able to control herself and not get so personal she could have made the final. I have a feeling she was very popular in the early days. The others were either too negative, bland or annoying (in my opinion)

Vicky is not a 'big name' anywhere ... she's a tupennyhapenny 'cast' member of a reality show with very limited appeal

I've had a quick look at all the final 5 contestants in the all of the past series and it looks like this year is the first year that the final 5 contestants are under the age of 40
