The show has trials because they add interest, ensure it doesn't become too repetitive, and add extra revenue for ITV in the early stages. It's still a popularity contest when it comes down to it. I
could understand your reasoning if George had done no trials whatsoever, or only a couple, but as I've said before, he's done a fair few and he's taken part in each of those enthusiastically and done well in them. So I don't see why he would deserve to win any less than the other two if we're citing trials as a reason.
