Hundreds of thousands of pounds of money and jewellery taken in a raid early yesterday according to reports on the radio this morning.
Simon Cowell's Mansion is burgled
Whether you like the man or not having your house burgled is no laughing matter while everything has a monetary value and can be replaced that's true, sentimental value cannot and the feeling that your private space has been violated is hard to get over.
Oh wow this is awful poor Simon, no matter what you think of him to be robbed like that is horrendous! With his family there to! It must be an inside job how would your average burgler get through the tight security he would have, I personally hope whoever has done this gets caught and he gets his stuff back - money isn't the object it's the sentimental value especially if things they stole say belonged to his mum who has just passed away - and his dad! Terrible news

You would imagine that it must be someone that knows him. Its not a nice thing to happen to anyone though.

The financial effects of a burglary pale into insignificance compared to the psychological effects.
The linked article said the burglars found a key to the safe. What kind of safe has a key? Safes have combinations. More likely a key to the house and the safe had not been secured.

Jewellery and cash worth thousands.
My wife's wedding and engagement rings are worth around £4000 and we have chains and other jewellery in our house, so the report that said "worth thousands" isn't that much.
Also anyone making light of the theft obviously hasn't ever been burgled or had anything stolen.
Wether your a millionaire or skint, being robbed isn't nice. His family were there and anything could have happened.
