I've always liked John Martyn, he had a very distinctive voice.

This was used in the film "Colombiana" repeated on TV last night.

Incredible voice this bloke had. Was a right old hell raiser by all accounts as well.

There was an excellent BBC4 documentary on him about him called "Johnny Too Bad,"
made by Serena Cross in 2009. It has been shown a few times since, but it's available in bits on YouTube.

She's made several music related documentaries, It was filmed shortly after he'd injured his leg, running his car into a cow on the road on his way home.

Love it, although my favourite is the Massive Attack, Portishead collaboration at Bristol. It has a lot more darkness, depth to it.
