I am still hoping for a little bit of tap dancing in Jay's Charleston. He can do it apparently! I love tap dancing!

Katie's got a Charleston rather than a Samba next week, she'll probably be fine with that
Oh dear...I can't see that working. Katie's a very beautiful, elegant woman and great in ballroom but she's easily the least athletic still left in the competition. Her long legs probably won't help either.

Plus, she's with Anton as well who's amazing in ballroom but who's nearly 50 and just doesn't have the athleticism of some of the younger male dancers. Thus, their choreography will be nowhere near as ambitious as Giovanni and Georgia's.

Also, shorter girls and shorter men tend to be better in this dance.

I'd be shocked if Katie scored over 30 for a Charleston tbh. if she does, that would be a brilliant result for her.

She'll be bottom of the leader board next week.

I don't know, Anton's done some decent Charlestons in the past. Laila's springs to mind. It doesn't have to be a mad swingathon, I reckon she'd be fine with a Sophie Ellis Bextor style dance (minus the flips perhaps!). I don't think the judges will be giving anyone less than 30 in the semi final unless they fall flat on their face She might possibly suffer in comparison with Jay if he nails his Charleston. Who knows? She seems to have strong public support though.

I think her other dance is a Waltz so I think she'll be getting mid 30's for that. If it is a Waltz, it'll probably be her best dance this year and it'll have to be!

I'm pretty sure her Charleston will be flat as it doesn't play to her strengths and nor does it particularly suit Anton either. I suspect she'll getting mid to late 20's for it.

Disagree with the judges giving everyone more than 30. Craig in particular was hyper picky with Anita - there's no way she deserved a 6. It wasn't her greatest dance by any stretch of the imagination but she definitely deserved 8's for it.

Katie did surprisingly well in the jive and so did Anton so the Charleston will probably suit them. You don't have to be too precise either, in fact if you are it can spoil the effect. The one worry ... which is the same for all of them .. is that they have two dances to learn plus loads of promo so they're up against it. Katie strikes me as someone who needs time to refine things. Just going on what she says herself.
Charleston is probably the best dance to learn in a two dance scenario though so I should imagine she'll be fine. I think theirs will be more of a stylish Charleston. Jay's will have more energy ... I'm imagining.

Can someone please remove the ruddy furniture???
I am afraid I couldn't watch the dance properly because I was too busy laughing my head off at the ridiculous 'extras' prancing about.
