According to The Telegraph Lady C has a "secret" husband who has been at her side for 35 years
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/t...t-husband.html

He seems a little confused about her background

“Georgie may have been born an aristocrat and then married into the aristocracy, but she doesn’t care about where someone comes from or what they do,” says Coleman. “She cares about good manners and fairness above all things"

He also says her multiple relationship claims are a bit of a fib

"How, though, does it work when either one of this platonic couple gets involved with someone else? Lady C has written extensively in her various volumes of memoir of her love affairs since her marriage ended – including with EastEnders actor Larry Lamb.
“Not to my knowledge,” Coleman replies rather vaguely to the question of whether she’s had other relationships with men. “And I’ve had no relationships while being with Georgie
.”

He sounds lovely. I'm glad she's got someone loving in her life.

Oh how wonderful is that. I knew there was more to Lady C than the jungle.

That's nice that she has a long term close friend.

He seems very nice indeed.

Edit to add. Although the thread title is a tad misleading as in fact he isn't her husband. Unless of course, I've got the wrong end of the stick.

Didn't realise some of her books were kiss n tell. How very classy.

Simply taken from the heading in the Telegraph article,

It is secret 'husband' in the article so you're OP is a bit misleading.

As for the rest it's the paper that seems confused as it would appear her friend is gay and calls himself a gusband

Kiss and tell I'm aware of her books about Lady Di and she's been very critcised for those in the past.

I think they have the perfect relationship that is perfect for them. Good luck to them.

You're the one that linked the article, didn't you bother to read it

"Though Lady C’s father came from Russian-Lebanese stock and her mother was from Jamaica, her complicated family tree can evidently be traced back through her maternal grandmother to Irish aristocrats.
“Georgie may have been born an aristocrat and then married into the aristocracy, but she doesn’t care about where someone comes from or what they do,” says Coleman"

Him being vague and not being knowledgeable about her having relationships is hardly him being deluded. Maybe it embarrasses him or he is truly unaware of the details Who knows.

It has already been confirmed that her father was Lebanese, she claims he was a Russian Count but there is no evidence to back that up and the Lebanese immigrant father is confirmed by other sources. Her mother was Jamaican, she claims they are from an old established Jamaican family so it's not clear where the Irish comes in other than it would have been generations ago. There is no evidence that her family held any titles in Jamaica or elsewhere.
As I said, deluded as LC

Is there any evidence that they didn't.

The issue isn't actually how long ago the family background was stretched to. The question was whether she had aristocratic blood. You're now saying any irish aristocratic ancestry is too long ago to be considered. If changing the goal posts can you give is a heads up.

Well again, we can all lay claim to aristocratic ancestry if we are prepared to go back a few generations
My Aunt was a German Baroness, does that make me an aristocrat? No, I don't believe it does.

One thing I do know Sorcha is that our good friend Daisy was hoping for many posts in accord with the spirit she sent the thread - which of course is never good as far as Lady C is concerned - and that fact that some of the posts to date are quite the opposite are pleasing.

Little bit patronising but if that makes you feel superior (which I'm sure it does) than all power to you.
At least it's better than Sorcha being nasty to all posters that don't agree with him/her

I've not seen Sorcha do that but I've seen you post desperately try to discredit Lady C at every opportunity. We get it, you don't like her. Is there anything else we need to know like are you ok?

I think everyone can acknowledge that she's polarising but to try and suggest someone who's known, loved and enjoyed her company for 35 years is somehow deluded is just desperation made flesh.
