1) Jay and Aliona - beautiful

2) had to mute Jodie and her awful singing

3) poor Anita - whatever that was, it wasn't an AT - shame on your Gleb

4) hated Kellie and Kevins dance

5) didn't really like Helens paso either, it got lost in the Les Mis theme

It felt stilted to me and I thought it seemed smaller and shy.
Also I am never a fan of jeans as a costume, to me it doesn't make you feel you are in the dance frame of mind.
I will have to rewatch it as I just didn't see it at all.

2. Those bloody characters at the back of GG's dance were so distracting, I don't know if it was because they were so big, I kept noticing them, so it distracted from a nice moment between the two of them.

3. Anita was awful. Strip back the music, costume and theme and all you have is poor technique and an awkward dance.
She also never looks happy when the judges are not fawning.

4. Helen looked like she was wearing a face, not a feeling she was emoting. It looked to false and forced for me. The paso isn't about snarling your way through it.

5. Kellie actually looked nice for a change, on a dance I didn't expect her to.
But what is it with her and tables, this is the third dance she has had at least one, her paso, this one and QS.”

Amelia, I am you in reverse. Georgia is my favourite but (sorry!) I hated the Disney yellowy teapotted sugariness -- the theme and styling, not their foxtrot -- but really really LOVED your bloke's stripped-back-to-the-essentials rumba

1. Band and singers were amazing
2. and 3. See above. Hate Disney; love blokes dancing in civvies
3. Georgia's ballroom has become so lovely
4. Burn the effing prop cupboard to the ground and any extra dancers who don't get out the way quick enough
5. Despite 4. a great show tonight

1. That was some serious chemistry with Anita & Gleb after the dance finished. The person I was watching it with was thinking they were kicking around BTS.

2. Jay's costume fit with the musical but not with the dance for me.

3. It was all a bit meh overall for me, but the singers were great!

4. Kellie's son is adorable.

5. Really enjoyed the pro dance at the start.

1. It felt as though the judges had made up their minds before the show.
2. I'm sure Jay will win. Even more so now.
3. I'm worried for Anita.
4. I thought Helen was pretty poor in that Paso.
5. Shut up Anton. We all know you're usually out by December.

1) Craig giving Anita 6 was ridiculous!

2) Very flat show - no wow factor!

3) Judges voting so obvious who they want in semi final!

4) K&K given dance which was totally suited to them to get them through to semi!

5) If judges decided, they may as well crown Jay the winner right now!

4- People who kept saying all week that Jay will be crap and score badly tonight

5- I would love to see Kellie avoid the Dance-off.”

All of those! I voted for Kellie and would have voted for Jay too if it wouldn't cancel out Kellie's. I trust in his fans.

Also....

1. Loved Kellie's outfit - and never though I'd say that!
2. Found Anita's dance mesmerising and sexy, and was shocked by the judges' comments and marks
3. Helen's expression was painful and fixed throughout
4. Was expecting great things of Katie and Anton's dance, given that Anton is Master of the Ballroom, and it just didn't deliver
5. Loved Jodie's singing of the terms and conditions

1. Aliona's new hair colour really suits her but did Jay forget to pop into wardrobe before the show went live?
2. And whilst we're talking about wardrobe did they give Anita and Katie the same dress? At least Kellie looked nice for once.
3. Georgia and Giovanni's routine was beautiful but the camera work was horrendous. There was one point where the camera was just pointed at the chandelier for about 2 seconds and then they were obscured by a giant tea pot.
4. I'm confused by the judges comments on Kellie and Kevin's dance. A few weeks ago they slated them for prancing about on the table and then they do it again and the judges love it? Also does it not count as a lift if she's being lifted onto a table?
5. Has Helen always got somewhere to be during the first half of the show she's always on at the end or near the end.

1. Who looks at a foxtrot and says "what this needs is more teapot"?

2. Flat show full of missed opportunities to be epic.

3. A pity Craig didn't give Anita that critique weeks ago when she could have done something about it.

4. Between Gleb's floor-bothering and Kevin's table obsession, it feels as though I've wandered into a late night Channel 4 programme about people who are sexually attracted to furniture.

5. NO TEAPOTS. I mean it.

1) I have never liked Karen's "bandy-legged" (I know she can't help it) dancing but she was great in that opening number - she has really grown on me in recent weeks, dance-wise

2) LOL at Joanne and her binoculars after Team GGs dance - she may as well have thrown on a big hat and done the whole Ascot thing!!!

3) The judges entrance was one of the best they have done - though that's not saying much!

4) Found Claudia extremely irritating tonight

5) Best music this series by a country mile

1. For an actress, Helen's face was hilariously bad
2. Whoever invented the Viennese waltz will be spinning in their grave.
3. Only two more weeks of Tess to mute through
4. Giovanni is a great addition to the show
5. Gleb not so much

It wouldn't have been so bad if it was an ordinary sized teapot, operated by a squirrel or a small dog maybe. A whopping great person-sized teapot was lunacy. I just hope he's properly scalded for getting in the way

1. Poorest quarter final in many many years
2. Musicals week - yet another themed week that didn't work.
Get rid of all themed weeks forthwith.
3. Shocking music choices yet again.
4. Utterly useless and incompetent scoring yet again.
5. Too much faffing yet again. Stop wasting time and get on with the dancing for crying out loud.

Loved Jay and Aliona, they brought a tear to my eye.
Was disappointed with Anita and Gleb. Her footwork was v poor.
Didn't like Helens paso. It was very forced and stiff.
Anton's choreo was dull dull dull.
Claudia was hilarious tonight.

2. Love Anita and am so impressed at what she has achieved so far, but fear she will be gone tonight if she lands in the DO

3. Is there something in Kevin's contract that says * tables must be included in all routines* ? - how many times is it now, and it never works well

4. Kellie and Helen, too much elaborate routine from the extras and not enough visible action from either of them

5. Seemed like such a short programme tonight, can't believe it's almost over again for another year”

1. Yes it was GG's, right at the beginning, god knows why they were standing right in front of the judges table obscuring the dancers.

3. Haha, yes I said the same thing above, three times with tables.

1. Aliona always looks her hottest in toned down outfits - she looked so lovely in a simple skirt + vest.

2. Jay should wear those jeans more often.

3. Can we have a 'tv series week' instead of the very similar movies + musicals. I want to see a backwards Rumba in Twin Peaks' red room, a Tango to 'Way Down in the Hole' from The Wire, a Paso Doble dressed as Margaret and Nick from the Apprentice...

4. Too many distracting backing dancers in Helen's routine - it took away from the impact.

5. No cheeky Latin dances this week - it seems a lot of people got them out of the way early to leave more sultry/moody/romantic ones for last.

1. No more crockery on the SCD stage ever. That includes beermugs and wandering teapots.
2. Going right off theme weeks.
3. Loved the rumba because it was intimate and all about the dance. It stood out for me as refreshing amid the razzmatazz.
4. Glad Kellie finally got a dance and a theme that suited her, even if she ended up doing remarkably little dancing in it.
5. Did not like the Minelli wig teamed with ballroom dress.

I'll be sorry whoever goes. I'm loving seeing so many good dancers at this stage.

Only got one comment.

1. Why was Helen's rags costume so beautiful? Imagine if Kelly had been asked to dance in rags - it would have rags.

1. Only really loved Kellie and Jay.
2. Helen's faces were a bit off putting but I love her a hope she's safe.
3. Anita was too messy. I thought the judges were harsh with her earlier in the series but actually think that her scores are fair if not a bit generous at this point.
4. Found Georgia and Katie a bit boring.
5. Expecting Anita in the dance off. Just a case of who joins her there. Probably not Georgia or Jay though.

1. Liked Kellie's outfit but dance bored me silly.
2.Anita's dance was mesmerising and sexy. Annoyed mean spirited comments by Craig.
3. Didn't enjoy Helen's performance at all.
4. Katie and Anton left me cold.
5. I saw no hip action from Jay. Must have missed it.

1. I love Anita, but that was an atrocious AT, and her poor footwork was highlighted by equally atrocious shoes - strappy sandals might have hidden the flexing and pigeon toes. I did not like it at all and I fear that was her last dance on Strictly (except for the dance-off, natch).
2. I'm still underwhelmed by Jay. I know that was a soft and romantic rumba, but I was saying what Craig was saying before he said it. Honest, guv. But he's going to win.
3. I just want to be a Disney princess - that VW by Georgia and Giovanni was gorgeous and I didn't even notice the giant teapot and other extraneous characters as I was so captivated by the dance. My favourite of the night.
4. Thought Kevin hit exactly the right balance between West End musical and VW ballroom technique. Probably the first time I've ever applauded his choreography, but credit where it's due. Not the most obvious song for a VW, but he made it work.
5. On the other hand, Anton may be the King of Foxtrot, but Sally Bowles being twirled around a dance floor in a Viennese Waltz? No. However good the steps, it just looked incongruous and I didn't enjoy it for that reason.

6. Yeah, I know - but there were six dances and it would be rude not to mention Helen and Aljaz. It was busy and messy but, again, I thought it a good hybrid between West End musical and ballroom.

1) Would have preferred a longer show with two dances each. Consipiracy minded me wonders if they expect Kellie to go this week and held off because her schedule would make two dances tricky.

2) Craig's facial hair. Sorry, I shall be obsessed with that until the end of the series. *sigh*

3) I didn't think that Kellie and Kevin would be able to make Oom Pah-Pah work as a VW but they did an excellent job.

4) I like Jay - but he's got too much experience for the show, it's just not fair. Sorry Jay fans, but I'm now in anyone-but-Jay mode when it comes to who I want to win!

5) Helen's dance was great (other than the wobble at the end, which was a shame) - and I loved it even if she does remind me of an angry kitten when she pulls those faces!

1. didn't like the theme but within it, the best dance was kellie and kevin's vw.

2. gleb is fast going from vain and irritating to sleazy and unpleasant

3. laughed out loud at jay playing at the dishevelled post coital bed hair - swear he is a virgin...

4. think katie was a bit undermarked. her dancing was good tonight, even if the theming wasn't quite working.

5. can't be bothered to think up a 5, which sums up my general indifference to the show tonight.

1) Fantastic show tonight! Really enjoyed the theme and some fabulous routines.
2) Kellie certainly doesn't deserve to be in the dance off tonight. She really shone and despite not being a fan of her and Kevin, she deserves to stay.
3) Jay, ABSOLUTELY beautiful. One of my favourite performances from the entire series. I'd love to see that and his Jive in the finale
4) Katie is definitely my favourite remaining contestant.
5) I can see an Anita/Helen dance off for sure. But I can see Anita coming out fighting and making it interesting!

1. Jay & Aliona .. so beautiful and now there is a rumba by a male celeb that I like Everything about their performance was understated but powerful.
2. Kellie & Kevin .. rousing .. she gave it her all and for once had a half decent costume. Hope she survives.
3. Anita & Gleb ... Hopeless!! Her legs and feet were even more exposed than in the rumba. When will Gleb learn to correct it!? Not even close to an AT.
4. Helen & Alijaz .. bit hectic but I like them.
5. Georgia & Giovanni .. nice but a bit saccharine and not memorable.

I don't know if you're just confused or if this is a very subtle burn on the pros' choreography, but both these "VW"s were actually foxtrots. .
